Alum. Generally used to stop bleeding and prevent infection after shaving. Also cools and soothes the skin and helps prevent ingrown hairs. It’s usually rubbed on your skin after shaving so I’m not sure why he does that with it. Maybe it’s just for the sound it allows him to make with his hands since it’s an ASMR video.

Clip and clean your nails if you're going to do that without gloves. The gunk in your nails could cause a horrible skin infection bro. Gotta be careful. If you're against this advice, then just put on some dang gloves. Lol. Peace.
