I feel like Jeffree gets away with being so wealthy because he built his brand from bottom-up, invested correctly, and can now reap the rewards, while the Ace Family just films videos. Not too sure, I've never watched an Ace Fam vid so I could definitely be wrong lol, but Jeffree has been iconic since MySpace.

Honestly, I feel like Jeffree Star’s wealth is exaggerated. There’s no doubt in my mind that other KZbinrs like Lilly Singh, Liza Koshy, Emma Chamberlain, Lele Pons, and maybe even James Charles make way more money than him. I’m sorry but Jeffree Star is just as obnoxious with his money as KZbinrs like Jake Paul or the Ace Family. He literally has videos where he does his makeup in his private jet, burns expensive amounts of makeup, and closet tours. He’s clearly not averse to flaunting his money constantly. I feel like he purposely makes it seem as if he’s richer than he actually is to accentuate this sort of powerful aura about him that isn’t really there. Of course he’s very wealthy but he makes no where near the Kardashians or Liza Koshy or Lilly Singh. He’s no richer than PewDiePie and I highly doubt anyone besides beauty gurus and his fans are actually buying his makeup. He cannot be worth more than $5 million, which is still a ton of money, but he’s clearly making it seem as if it’s so much more than that when his wealth shouldn’t matter and shouldn’t be such a focus on his KZbin channel.

gina vitis I’m pretty sure Jeffree isn’t exaggerating, he shows in Shane’s video he made over 20 million off the blood sugar palette, and if you look it up he makes 50 mill as of today. I do agree he does show off his money, but its his money and he can do what he wants with it. Not to mention he’s also making money not only from his business, but KZbin as well. He is very obnoxious, but at the end of the day he’s very smart with his money and I’m sure he wouldn’t lie about it.

People don't say stuff about Jeffree's money and how he spends it because he and Shane have literally shown us how involved he is in his business. And I am so glad that they show us this. Other people on KZbin make their money from mainly KZbin and if they have endorsements. Few can say they own a multi-million dollar brand.

He also wouldn’t be spending the money he makes from his business for personal use. He’d take a salary but he wouldn’t be cutting checks from his business to cover personal expenses and if he is, then he’s pretty stupid. Once you start cutting checks and using the money from the business for personal expenses, your personal assets aren’t protected if someone sues your business. Kylie is worth over a billion dollars, but she doesn’t have a billion dollars to spend.

I think that the reason that Jeffree Star gets a pass for being that way is because he has been in the public eye for YEARS, including the time where he was really poor and just a makeup artist trying to make it in LA. Also, the video he did with Shane last year also helped people kind of sympathize with what he's been through so seeing him be so rich is like wow, he really worked for that and he was near his 30's until he started to make lots of $.

I felt the same when watching people’s reactions to the length of time I takes to make products; at times I found it almost a bit cringe to watch Shane’s reactions with the dramatic music and whatnot because to me 6-7 months doesn’t actually sound like a long time to fully put out a product

I think it's important to note that Jefree is a white man as opposed to the Ace Family being a black and latina family. Psychologically in a lot of people's minds, because of Jefree's race and status as a white man in America, he should be wealthy and have more money than others. I think the Ace Family gets a bad rep 1. because they are a family and 2. because some people may unconsciously think that they should not have that much money because of their social and racial status. (Im a psych and women studies double major so I critique and analyze these things a lot haha).

Whitney Clarke Interesting. I always think Jeffree gets a pass because he was rich prior to KZbin vs the Ace Family. People saw the AF grow and reach this level of success that now, they criticize them and say they’ve changed because they can literally go back and watch old videos of what they were like. Jeffree, on the other hand, had his house, cars and business before he started his channel so his lavish lifestyle is all we know (apart from the Shane video where we see that that wasn’t always the case). But I also think you have a really good point. I never looked at it like that.

I think a lot of people who talk negatively about Jeffree and Shane are honestly just jealous. Jeffree honestly EARNED his money.
