so nice to see that archicad capable to generate such complex models, without any help of other softwares.many thanks Emde...

Yes you are right it is. ARCHICAD by itself is extremely powerful , you just need to know how to use the tools 👍

Very great tutorial! Thank you for sharing . Also as a little advice, it'd be better I think If you can show the shortcuts you use. Thanks a lot !

Hey, I also want to make a rotating tower for my thesis, but I'm having trouble with the facade rotation. My tower rotates by 2 degrees per storey and the curtain wall should also rotate, so that the posts are not vertical but inclined by 2 degrees, like in the video, only as a curtain wall. Do you have a tip or a video for this? Best Regards
@ASMTechbase2 жыл бұрын
You can't bend the curtain wall in this way using Archicad. Your best bet is a nurbs modeler like Rhino.

I have a similar style of deesign that I am trying to model problem is, i wonder if this method of rotating within a circle would work or not because my floor shape is trapezium. It is difficult to fit in all corners within a circle.
@ASMTechbase3 жыл бұрын
Good question. I would think if you find the middle of the arc which touches on all the corners of your trapezium then it should work. How to find it. Hard to explain in words on here as I can't attach an image. Contact me on my website and I can send you an explanation on how to get the middle of a trapezium www.asmtechbase.com/

Great tutorial mate ! I've got a question though. Is this structure actually possible, the angular columns on top of eachother? Other than that thanks alot, very helpful!

Nice modelling tutorial, but don't say that we don't need grasshopper... thanks... it will save spicy of ur time if u will need to change a degree of rotation or shape of building or slab
@ASMTechbase6 жыл бұрын
Thanks ! Yes true when you want top change the degree of rotation, then you are in trouble without Grasshopper :) Saying this, I keep following the Grasshopper development, it's an amazing tool but still too complicated for the everyday user. Actually all procedural modeling software out there are at the moment. As an end user, we need to look at the time spent learning a software in compare how many times we use it during a year. What are your thoughts on this ?
