One problem is that the inner surface of custom arched (or, generally, curved) openings looks segmented (you can see multiple lines). Unlike the native Archicad arched opening, which is perfectly smooth. I have AC 22, I don’t know if this issue is fixed in later versions.

yes it is not perfect, try changing you magic wand settings before doing the curtainwall with space click that helps.

Hi Techbase, Thanks for this amazing tutorial, would the same idea works if you were doing a storefront with a door in it?
@ASMTechbase3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yes you can use it for that too. I would recommend to add another normal piece of wall where you like to place the storefront door. Select the curtain wall and delete the pieces "inside" the additional wall. Now you can add a normal door object, which will give you much more flexibility.

@@ASMTechbase Thank you! it was a massive headache to customize the 2d symbol for it. I tried to create a custom WC panel which seem to work but the 2d symbol was very messy. Thanks for your help!

@@ornamentalsounds7632 you are most welcome. As a 3D Artist I do have the advantage of not having to think too much about how my models will look in 2D, that is your job!

My curtain wall is cornered how can i make curved
@ASMTechbase4 жыл бұрын
You can curve a curtain wall only to a certain degree by clicking on the construction line and curve it. What I mean with this is, that the actual glass panel and the frames around it will always be straight. Like straight segments.

it does not work when the curtain wall is facing down and the curtain wall is just facing up on ground floor plan with the magic wand tool? You did not explain how it really works when the beginner users face this problem.
@ASMTechbase7 ай бұрын
If you follow the exact instructions, this is how you use a curtain wall to create a window library part. This is not about using the curtain wall it is how to create a window library part. I have many other videos explaining the curtain wall in more depth.

Hard to tell. Can you let me know which step is not working or where exactly are you getting stuck?
