Alexander was 10% of the Ashoka The Great , Fight against ancient India in India far dangerous because ancient India use all type weapon specially animals ( Elephant , camel, horse , Rhinoceros , Tiger & etc ) all different different type metal , leather , woods weapon , Alexander was lucky to not face first battle against Ancient India , otherwise his first was the Final battle of life.... when Alexander died enemy was happy but when Ashoka died enemy also crying , That’s the different between (Indian White people & European White people) ...

Ironically Ashoka's Great Grandfather was the king of Pipli (under Kalinga ) but he died in Magadha. Due to his death the Kalinga was taken over by some other dynasty. And the kingdom was prosperous and peaceful. Later Ashoka's grandfather became Magadha emporer who defeated Alexander The Great but couldn't conquer Kalinga and Assam. But Ashoka conquered Kalinga and felt guilty after seeing so much loss and went on the path of Buddhism and never shredded blood.

king asoka is responsible for spread of Buddhism in China, srilanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, java, Bali. Sumatra , phillipines , Mongolia and Papua new Guinea. his dy dynasty started from Afghanistan to modern day Myanmar and even some parts of Cambodia. it included Nepal, some parts of south west China bordering India , entire Pakistan, and srilanka. his great grand father Chandra Gupta Maurya defeated head of Alexander army who ruled Punjab now in Pakistan in just 3 years of its annexation by Alexander.

Alexander dream was to conquer India. He did come to India to conquer but He Lost war and injured badly and decided to move back. He died somewhere in present day Iraq.

Hey dear, just wanted to tell you Alaxander the great ran away from India after he met Ashoka's grandfather Chandragupta Maurya. He is remembered as Sandrocottus in Greek epics. After the brutal war with Indian prince Porus, Alaxander's army was threatened by Chandragupta that 80,000 combatants would be waiting for them at the banks of Ganges. This led to mutiny in Greek Army and Alaxander changed his path. Chandragupta went on to become the founder of Maurya Dynasty who then defeated Alaxander's right hand man Selucus Nicator. Ashoka, is the third emperor of that mighty Maurya dynasty. Ashoka was the gretest emperor of the world! He is the one who then threw away all the Greek kingdoms from Indian subcontinents. He then later preached Buddhism to entire world, sending his son and daughter to spread the religion as monks.

The grand father of King Ashoka , The first ruler of Maurya Dynasty i.e, Chandragupta Maurya stopped Great Alexender victory and made him return back to Greece... Alexander could never win India.... this fact is there in Indica written by Megasthanese one Greek writer who was the ambassador of Selucas , one of the commanders and friend of King Alaxender.

Just 1 thing is missing, After massacre of kalinga, deep sorrow driven him to accept buddhism. He then spent his entire life to propagate buddhism using all the resources he had. It means if all the eastern, southern Asia and many other countries are buddhist, he is the sole reason for it.

Alexander the great heard about ashoka anf wanted to defeat him. But his journey to india was effected by many hurdles as his soldiers started dying of disease and hunger. He had to turn back from halfway. I dont know if he died on the way home, but i think he died.
