Hi @kuvenkat, In the case of 5.0 version instead of Dotnet it shows Project Name(Employee Management in your Case) while using OutOfProcess hosting.

When I use CLI to do dotnet run in version 3.1, I always get application name as output (Ex: EmployeeManagement) and not the dotnet; Did something change with 3.1. Please clarify. Thanks

Staging is an environment like he said in the video. Before you put an application in production, you put it in another environments like dev and staging to test it. For load balancer, you can ask google : In computing, load balancing refers to the process of distributing a set of tasks over a set of resources, with the aim of making their overall processing more efficient. You can have more servers for an application and load balancer chooses which server to use for an operation

Hi Venkat, while running the same application through Mac we are not having an option to run on a particular profile. Is there a solution to this? Or it is that IIS cannot be installed in Mac and so we are left with just one profile.

Why core is provides these many varieties of hostiing? iis, iisexpress, kestrel, kestrel with iis ? Since most people use core for cross platform purpose is only kestrel with iis would not be enough?

Hi Venkat, When we run our asp.net core project with the following settings in place, I don't understand why the process name that is displayed in the browser is dotnet ??? If we have the IIS Express launch profile selected where the commandName is set to IISExpress, the AspNetCoreHostingModel element value is set to OutOfProcess, kestrel is used as the internal web server and IIS Express is used as the external web server.

When the AspNetCoreHostingModel element value is set to OutOfProcess, we are effectively telling we just want to use IIS Express as reverse proxy and host the application out of IIS express. So the application is hosted by ASP .NET Core internal web server Kestrel. With Ketrel, the name of the process that hosts our application is dotnet.exe, that is the reason you see dotnet. With OutOfProcess hosting IIS Express faces the network takes the incoming http request and pass it on to the Kestrel server. It is the ketrel server that hosts and process the requests. Hope this answers your question.

As in the tutorial, if commandName="IISExpress" and HostingModel=InProcess, the ProcessName should be displayes as "IISExpress". But, for all the scenarios it's getting displayed as "dotnet" as the ProcessName.

On VS 2017 when i launch the code from project profile it gives me error.. Invalid URL:invalid port specified. I cannot lauch profile from VS. When i lauch from issexpress it shows the project name as dotnet. Why is that? When i launch from cli it gives the process name as dotnet. Please guide why it dosnt give process name iiseexpress? And y i am unable to launch fron project profile in VS.
