Hello Sir, your teachings say, viewstate restoration occurs in Init event, but when i tried to access, a viewstate variable, in InitComplete event, it didnot work, instead, i was able to access it in PreLoad event, please clear this confusion Sir

The following is wrong: In the event table for Init it says The server controls are loaded ... from view state. The truth is that at the end of the Init stage the loading of post back data is done and the posted back form field values are loaded into their corresponding controls without any use of viewstate. The same goes for your previous part 3 about viewstate - server controls does not preserve their values on postbacks through viewstate it's done by the form field values that's posted back (which are matched to their corresponding control id for controls that have a IPostBackDataHandler interface). Viewstate doesn't change from it is sent down to the client to it is sent back to the web server on a postback so how could it be used to update anything.

hi venkat, thanks for ur reply... on namespace&assembly video ,one time system is namespace & the other time assembly ....could u clarify this pls....i read textbook regarding namespace& assembly....but if u tell i vil get clear picture...pls clarify the diff b/w assembly & namespace...after watching video i came to know that assembly gets generated after compiling project & namespace organizes code....pls clarify my doubt...

.net core is different and asp.net is not mandatory to learn it, rather learn mvc, but having asp.net fundamentals will make you a better developer, so as per my suggestion : 1. asp.net 2.mvc 3. entity framework 4. LINQ 5. .NET Core

Great Job with the videos man...Keep it up..!!! i have a few questions regarding PLC... 1.)In Preinit setting the Ispostback property means that whether the req to server is made for the first time or not is decided here..if yes then why do we always check at page load?? 2.)In Init() Server controls are loaded from viewstate...?? 3.)what actually happens in init(),Preload(),load(),loadcomplete() completion?? 4.)if all the controls are loaded in load then how can we set properties in init??

1)application logic is written after page is loaded so we check if it is the first request or if it is a post back (any request after the first request) 2) Yes 4)you are loading the page into memory to send it to the user. u have access to viewstate in init stage so you can decode view state to initialize values

You might consider replacing text at top of "ASP.NET Page Life Cycle Events" with following text: "In Part 4 of this video series, we have discussed that events can occur at 4 levesl in an ASP.NET web application: 1. At the application level (e.g., Application_Start in global.asax) 2. At the session level (e.g., Session_Start in global.asax) 3. At the page or web form level (e.g., Page_Load) 4. At the control level (e.g., SelectedIndexChanged event of a dropdownlist)" Same in Parts 4, 7, etc.
