While it does work only using the .APK File, You will have only 6 functioning maps, Such as Nevada, Iceland, Tokyo, Nevada Reverse, Iceland Reverse, And Tokyo Reverse, The other maps will not have their textures installed even if you patch it and play with Wi-Fi. If you want it all installed with no bugs, It's Recommended to install ZArchiver, And view the zip file and install the .APK File, If you cant do that then Uninstall asphalt 8, Then try installing the APK, Once done, Hold the com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM Folder till you see a icon that says "Copy", Press it then Go back to the android folder, Once you are in that folder go into the data folder and press the paste button on the bottom right corner.

You need to open the game after installation and keep your wifi on so that it can verify the files and then when it goes to gameloft screen close game then turn off wifi and data then relaunch game and bam it should work.

You can't sadly, starting from 2.1.0 all data is in Android/data, so it will be hard if you want to OBB patch it.

This isn't online, only avalible offline. The few versions that don't update is 2.0.0e, 3.7.1e, 1.9.0h, 1.8.0p, 1.2.0, and 1.0.4, im sure there's lots more gatekeeped.
