In 2024, it's no where near as good as it was in 2017, for example, however this year it has seen some noticeable improvements. One noteworthy one is making tokens accessible for free again, making a lot of cars previously impossible to get without spending money, possible.

I havent played this game in over a year. I left the game when it was already in a really bad state compared to when I first played it in 2015. I still think its better than asphalt 9 but gameloft ruined their own game which used to be one of the best mobile racing games (and arguably still is because so many developers do the same shit / even have a stupid fuel system for everything (eg.:csr2)). This video perfectly sums everything up.

Exactly, I tried playing other mobile games and the only 2 I found worth it are Racing Master (currently in android beta) and Grid Autosport, which costs 10$ but is worth it for not being pay to win I will say I’d play Forza any day over this hellhole but there aren’t many other options for when I don’t have my Xbox lol

@@Spherz I also found pixel car racer to be a really good game, but it sadly doesn't get any updates anymore and has an art style which you have to like to not dislike the game. People created many mods tho so new cars can be brought into the game even without support from the developers. There are few of these non pay to win games. Also thanks for the recommendation of racing master I'll try it.

The worst part about it all is now the only way to actually have fun in asphalt 8 is to pay up and buy Asphalt 8+ because at least that isn’t pay to win, but is is pay to play.

Ah yes, Gameloft has made their game Pay Good video btw! This video basically sums everything up with what happened. I remember I couldn't play A8 a while ago because had some issues, but I don't think I'll ever join back. Its so sad how their greed has substantially lowered their game quality. The music from A8 and the SLK makes me nostalgic lol

10.5 years later, a8 should be renamed to “cash grab: bullshit game” because the game became so terrible i won’t even explain a bit about it same for a9, except everything is worse there and it’s a failure gameloft fell off so hard
