Interesting, at the hospital I asked for this and they said no. I am sure my recovery from knee surgery would be better and quicker if this was done

Same. I just recently asked an experienced orthopaedic surgeon if he could do this and he said no, because it wouldn't address the underlying issue. However, he also said that the x-rays and MRI scans revealed no real issues other than water on the joint, so I'm at a loss. It came on in one knee after a short viral illness months ago and never went away. Feeling I would like to get this type of drainage done as long as sticking needles into the joint doesn't introduce any infection and make matters worse.

@@josephd.2725 when I was younger the a and e did drain my knee when I damaged a ligament. I went from not being able to bend it to bending it in minutes
