International Iqbal Society in collaboration with The Lahore Arts Council and Institute of Education and Research presents a new 12 weeks comprehensive course in the series of courses on Persian Poetical Works of Iqbal. The books we have chosen for this course are Asrar e Khudi -1915 (The Secrets of Self) and Rumooz e Bekhudi -1917 (The Secrets of Selflessness)

I think this by far is the most comprehensive lecture on khudi.. Simple urdu language has been used. This is the first lecture on khudi i have understood. Thnku so much

What is the qualification of Mr. Alamgir to be giving these lectures? Can we include an introduction to the presenter at the beginning? No offence meant, just a right-to-know.

I am not sure you are asking this before or after listening to him. This is my first time listening to him and IMHO the topic under discussion is a vast one. Frankly speaking I don’t care about his qualifications, his eloquence of delivery and depth of understanding is impressive. I am not sure how much Iqbal’s Phd from Germany influenced his ideas and poetry. Point is topics like these are mostly from within rather than from being taught externally. Just my humble observation. It’s said , know yourself and you will know your Lord. Allah knows best.

@@asad-kc8zf I commented after listening to a few of his lectures including this one. I think he is making a mess of the topic. He may know something but he can't explain properly. So, I thought may be he knows a lot and I can't understand him.

Sure, like I said this is a vast topic and he is not the first or the last one to think and talk about it. But this is his personal understanding, like yours, but give him credit where credit is due. Even Iqbal himself is not the first one and man has pondered over this for a very long time . Essentially we are looking for our way back to Him and for me there are as many ways to Him as there were humans in the past, living today or will live till the end.

And don’t underestimate yourself. Difference is whether we can express and give verbal form to what we actually think. This is a God given gift to few people, I think.

اسلام علیکم ویڈیو کا عنوان ہے اسرار و رموز۔ اقبال کا تصورِ خودی۔ کتابیں اسرارِ خودی اور رموزِ بے خودی فارسی کلام موصوف نے بظاہر تو بہت اچھا لیکچر دیا ہے جس کا اصل عنوان بنتا ہے قران کا تصورِ انسان۔ اس لیکچر کے تمام ریفرینس قران سے دیئے گئے ہیں۔ جبکہ اسرارِ خودی کی کتاب میں 19 مثنویاں اور رموزِ بے خودی میں 31 مثنویاں ہیں۔ جب کہ موصوف نے اپنی دو گھنٹے کی تقریر میں ایک لائین بھی ان دو کتابوں سے نہیں پڑھی۔ جب ہم کسی بات کو طے کر لیتے ہیں کہ ہمارا لیکچر ان کتابوں کا احاطہ کرے گا تو ہمیں اس کتاب کے حوالوں کو ہی مرکزی حیثیت دینی پڑتی ہے اور دیگر کتابوں سے ضمنی حوالے دیتے ہیں۔ موصوف نے نا صرف بعض جگہ قران کی تلاوت صحیح نہیں کی بلکہ فارسی کا ایک بھی شعر نہیں پڑھا۔ جس سے شدت سے اس بات کا احساس ہوا کہ موصوف کو فارسی کی شدھ بدھ نہیں ہے۔ خدارا ایسے اپنے کام کواور انٹر نیشنل اقبال سوسائیٹی کے نام کو خراب نہ کریں۔ اس قسم کے غیر متعلقہ لیکچرز جو عنوان سے کوئی مواد لائے بغیر دیئے جائیں وہ اس کام میں حسن کی بجائے قبح کا باعث بنتے ہیں۔ یہ بات بلا شک کہی جا سکتی ہے کہ اس لیکچر کا علامہ اقبال کی فارسی کی مذکورہ دو کتب سے بالکل نہیں ہے۔ پہلی مثنوی تمہید کا 29 واں شعر ہے کہ غنچہ کز بالیدگی گلشن نشد در خور ابر ِبہارِ من نشد جن کلیوں سے باغ کی نشو ونما نہ ہو وہ غنچے میری بہار کی بارش کے لائق نہیں ہیں۔

Cells are fundamental units of any living organism. Heart and lungs have been created in a lab using cells but they need an external source of energy to run them. They are not like natural cells which have an intrinsic energy ie what we call..ruh. So man can create the physical part but lacks the spark ⚡️ to run them. That comes from beyond the human realm. I hope this helps.
