@@benson7748 yes in a way. Players still have control on their destinations. If they don't want to go... then they technically don't have to. Clubs & player are mutually bounded to a contract. This summer transfer sage with Frenkie de Jong is a perfect example.... Barca been wanting to sell him all year to Man United - but de Jong wants to stay at Barca, and has resisted the move. Even tho both clubs have agreed to terms, club can't literally force a player to move. All they can do is make the player disgruntled like bench sitting them, exclude them from the main team and/or team activities, tell them they are not wanted and/or in the manager plans, & etc etc... AKA (Make the player unhappy as possible, and make his life a living hell... until he agrees to depart. Lol smh) You just don't see it happen often. A player not agreeing to leave and|or a club going for drastic measures to get them gone.

its clear that Zaniolo is staying he wouldn't be playing like this if he was on the way out.. He will get new contract soon and looks like he is very motivated to show everyone that he can become a star boy of this team.. Dybala. Pellegini, Abraham, El Sharawy, Belotti this is best attacking side Roma had in last 10+ years add the leadership of Wijnaldum, Matic, Smalling, Cristante and you have a squad that can push Milan, inter or whoever is in title race all the way

It's easy for a player of his calibre changing teams within the same league (obviously an experienced Serie A veteran), & having a great coach at the helm. Knew he was going to adapt simultaneously. Just hope it's going to be the same for the other new out-of-league transfers down the long stretch.. Sure the ex Prem boys will be just fine too tho.. Wjndaum, Matic, and Bailly if we get him..

I think we should keep our feet on the ground.. This was a very week and tired side.. Real challenge will start from next week. We do seem to have improved a lot from last year, but keep it calm and push hard.. I still think building a real winning top title team, takes atleast 2 years or 3 years with proper investment..

I know it is just a preseason game against a team that hasn't played in months, but Zaniolo looks like another player from last year... Maybe he is fully recovered finally or has learned from having a year under his belt.... but I really hope he stays. I did even before seeing the last two friendly's... we don't particularly need the money now from his sale, he can clearly play on the right side, and he is only 23 (yes, with 2 knee surgeries... but still) ... He loves the fans and the city... I don't see the point in selling him now

Nice match. Thats how I like to see roma playing. Wont get too happy cuz its just pre season. But even so they played very well. Mourinho is building a nice team in roma that can fight for first place... Still it needs more time.
