Take it for what it is. You're comparing this to something or someone else, don't do it. He's an amazing talent.

I've seen his other videos and when he plays, he uses way more fingers than wrist or arm, and he's crazy good at it. I wish I was that developed with my fingers, it would open up a whole new world.

To Jezzibrum: what Assaf Seewi is doing at 2:03 is an old Jazz drumming trick - Big Band drummers did all the time. I've seen Papa Jo Jones, Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson and others do it. If you search Gerald Heywood (drummer for Mary J. Blige) you will see him doing it.

I don't think it's a cocky smirk..it seems to me it's just the satisfaction he gets out of getting into a really cool groove---which is something he does quite often because of how good he is and how much he practices. Hell, I do that sometimes when I perform, too.

This guy is so good cause of his ingenuity.. brings art to the drums cause its about original beats rhythm and control.. not how fast he can bang his drums. If you say he sucks cause you can do this.. gurantee ya can't.. even if copied to the tee.. you have not accomplished this.. just copied. Post vids of you dropping originals on par with this if you want to talk.

@SuperChuck3 True. Still, modern technique is still producing new talent and new beats. Thankfully, Music will never die. Like you say, technicality means nothing without rythm and feeling.

Latin Percussion Aspire(4 and 5/8")[that one is the right one for the high note no doubt.] Hell I can't find the name of the other one. It has an advanced mount on it where a small bar/plate slides up and has a nob and a tuner screw(that fits a drum key)It has the right note but it's too dull, because it's a cha cha bell.

@OldSchool9690
@OldSchool9690 16 жыл бұрын
I just got two cowbells, they have the right notes but one is a cha cha so it's real dull and has the wrong pitch. The only way really to find out is to go to the store and try out the cowbells. Man he does amazing on that beat though how he plays the hats and snare with one hand, he's so smooth.

this guy is class. hes doing a drum solo,so you`d expect a bit of showing off? this guy is exceptional, i`ve never heard anything like that before, describing this guys performance as " like a circus act " is maybe a bit disrespectful?

Because he hooked up with the right people and got lucky, The Aquabats were on Blink's tour and Travis got along with Mark and Tom. The Music business is more often than not who you know rather than what you know, maybe Assaf doesn't have as much personality? Visually his drumming would suggest that, people go to rock shows to watch people rock and I wouldn't want to see this guy behind a kit trying to show off.

Haha...Douche... He could probably in any band that needs a drummer with the flick of a drumstick, Though he doesn't need a band to sound good. You probably think LARS is the best thing there is. Newsflash buddy.. Lars is one of the worst drummmers if not the worst drummer compared to his status. He is just good at doing some double bass from time to time, and keeping a steady rhythm thats all. There's nothing else to metallica..
