I don't know whether you've noticed this or not, that people of this Deori village speak Assamese as their mother tongue. Actually as it's mentioned in 00:44 there are four clans of Deori tribe, of which only the Dibongia clan has retained the language while others have adopted Assamese as their mother tongue. From this it's pretty clear that people of this village belong to either Tengaponiya or Borgoyan clan (Patorgoyan clan have been lost, one theory says that Tiwa people of middle Assam were actually from that lost Deori clan, though cant be ascertained)

Fun fact: All the communities shown in this channel are sister tribes. So Rabha, Deori and Tiwa are related to each other. In fact tiwa and deori language are 90% same. Bishnu Prasad Rabha once said that Tiwas and Deoris are same tribe with different name

I wanted to take the time to really thank you and your Team to take a very innovative approach and exploring deeper secondary and tertiaries towns/villages. What a way to bring attention to India’s diversity in culture. I grew up in Asansol, Bengal and I live vicariously through you when you VLOG and eat your way through the country.
