And thus, Assam down town university’s dream has stepped towards becoming a reality with an infrastructure of nearly 15 lac's square feet of carpet area, 171 classrooms, nine departments, 108 labs, and other modern and essential facilities like Library, Placement cell, Amphitheater, conference halls, sports complex, swimming pool, gymnasium, Playground, Basketball court, hostels for girls and boys, ATM and Cafeteria.
The university currently operates with nine departments namely, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Paramedical Science, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Faculty of Nursing & Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Presently, more than 8000 students are studying under these nine departments and with the guidance of more than 250 faculty members. In Assam down town University, education doesn’t limit itself within the classrooms and they believe more in practical and methodical teaching.
Without fun, learning becomes a stereotype and doesn’t achieve its purpose. Happy and active campus life is one of the most essential elements for a healthy educational system.
