Thank you for visiting umrangso, spent my entire childhood and teenage years there. There were no golf field, no resorts ,no falcon festival and also no crowd and no internet. What we had was a giant reservoir and the entire place for ourselves . We spent thousands of evening watching the sunset by the reservoir after school. One by one we all left that place for education or job to all over the world and most of us never returned to that no-where town. Except Robert (tete), who got a job at local power-plant after completing his engineering studies. Few years ago there are this nasty accident in this plant which drained the entire reservoir and poor Robert lost his life. For most of us Umrangso will never be the same without that reservoir . R.I.P Robert.

Never thought that Nomadic Indian Dipanshu brother will be camping at Golf field (Reservoir) Umrongso. Thank you for visiting West Karbi Anglong and now in Dima Hasso waiting for your East Karbi Anglong specially the KYF episode at Taralangso,Diphu. Those 3 districts Karbi Anglong West-East and Dima Hasso are an autonomous council region of Assam. Which are different from rest of Assam.

As someone who is from Umrangso our town is a small rural town where everyone mostly knows everyone it's doesn't have big city facilities but people's hearts are bigger then you can imagine. I wish I was at home our Umrangso is really beautiful we could have shown you that.

You missed Pobitora wildlife sanctuary. Karbi Anglong is a hidden jem of Assam. Also, don't miss Haflong, Jatinga, etc. Also, stay at Manas wildlife sanctuary near the river. It's mesmerizing.💞🧜‍♀️ Btw u shud hv bought annu sia on this trip too.

Last year in same place we were stuck for 2 days in dhitokchara station becouse of heavy rain and landslide train tracks were broken our train was stuck in there after two days we went back to cachar badapur by walking through broken railway tracks.. in those days those local helped us by providing free food, carrying our goods . Thanks to them will remember for ever

Dipanshu bhai never trust google maps in hilly areas of Northeast like shillong or dima hasao etc. I have a tip - mark the location you want to go and follow the location through the main road or the roads which are bigger or yellow in colour in the map. Then go to the nearest possible place through the main road then you can follow the road shown or google maps or you can ask bystander for directions.

Since you are going Tumjang, make conivinent to visit Hangrum which is 50/60 kms away from P.Leikul. Hangrum has historically importance as Rani Gaidinliu (daughter of india independence) has started her revolt from the region which is bordering to Nagaland and Manipur.
