Never heard of him. After studying some history I know that Bengalis with help of British tried to impos Bengali in northeast (Assam primarily). Thanks to Miles Bronson who was among first to initiate the momentum.

Swahid Muzammil Haque was the first Martyr of 'Medium of Instruction Movement' in 1972 in Assam, North-East India. He sacrificed his life on Oct 6, 1972 at the age of 15, for the love of mother tongue.

Also You should restart Guptahatya series with the mysterious murders of Sanjay Ghosh as well as Partha Pratim Bora alias Javed Bora who was the former Foreign secretary of ULFA and youngest son of One of the greatest Assamese Nationalist, Nibaran Bora. Nibaran Bora's contribution towards Assam's Politics esp. Assam movement deserves a dedicated YT video.

A big problem today in Assam is that definition of Assamese is very vague. The recent settlers who don't speak Assamese claims to be Assamese but they have more affinity to their mother tongue. This will pose a big problem for local languages including Assamese in the future.

Speaking in Hindi helps such that the outside world could know the past of Assam whether it was the dark eras or the pride moments which isn't in the reach of mainstream media. First step of Assamese development is speaking confidently in mother tongue Assamese at a marwari or a bihari's shop rather than in Hindi. It is the great mistake of today's Assamese people that should be changed. Do you agree??
