On May 2, 2019, a hearing took place at the Westminster Courthouse in London regarding the request of the U.S. for Julian Assange’s extradition. The British Court is reintroducing various indictments against Assange so as to convict him on U.K. territory for disclosing war crimes and acts of corruption largely implicating successive American governments. About fifty people, including French Yellow Vests, gathered in front of the palace to protest this case, one which does not bode well for freedom of information and expression in the Western world. Vincent Lapierre had to go there to check it out.
