i'm a dagger sin and i wanted to test katars so i reseted via ymir and bought an un-upgraded katar of quaking. to my surprise, even against monsters, it's just as good dps as my dagger build against medium and big monsters (hitting +- 5k per hand with tier 0 non-refined katar), heck it's even better than it against medium, despite all my runes and the fact my daggers are way better than the katar. the only reason i don't switch is because this is extremely inflexible for things like endless tower where meteor strike is very useful. but i think i'll still keep the katar so i can play around. still have to try it on pvp, but i doubt it'll be good because no dex = miss = can't use ambush to perma stun = die if i don't kill fast enough

BAD BUILD even for budget build, that looks dumb Mandrake Seed with Crit skill 10 or LUK Meal B for ET / PVP 2 Kobold card Agent Katar I ---> Best Katar for now, and not so expensive if crafted. Bonus LUK stat from job (+5) TOTAL = >45% Also, with katar gives double crit, total crit is 90% and over. LUK Meal A can fill the hole. So, you can invest the rest with DMG amplifier or CRIT DMG amplifier, and no need to invest LUK or Assasination Halo. So, the stat could be : STR 99 AGI 80 VIT rest (at least for a bit survival) or you can invest STR 99 AGI 99 if you are quick to handle back slide and hiding for timing. What I mean budget is anything that is lower than 10M zeny in total

I prefer Brooch than STR Ring, since i like to do Auto Atk. Which need a lot of ASPD. Nice vid btw. Edit : Also Firmament Horn (from gacha) is the best head for crit SinX. For pet u can use Bapho Jr (if u have natural 110+ Crit without buff) or Mandragora if u don't.

I suggest for new players to max str then int/luk for leveling. You wanna sonic blow 1 shot mobs while leveling. Only switch and restat when you have all the gears for crit 100 and a decent weapon.

just want to share my build, i use Katar Quaking with 2 slots with 2 kobold archer card. And for the rune, i would recomend focusing on Katar Mastery rune and Crit Damage rune first instead of taking those Poison Cast. Got 3k damage without EDP, and 3,5k with EDP on training dummy. Check out KameradVito lvl 88 (job lvl 30). Peace :)

forgot the equips and the pet, i use thief clothes since i need more STR and use wind runner cape for critical. i also use elf head headwear (the one with a shine horn, forget the name :D) for more crit damage. Last but not least i use mandragora pet to increase my crit rate for producing almost 100% crit rate damage.

Sorry but your skills / runes are wrong. Level 92 Crit Katar Sinx here. You should be getting your 5% Crit Dmg + 2.5% Crit dmg Runes on the btm right then work upwards to get Poison Cast. Instead, you went upwards to get empowered poison cast first, nothing wrong there, but the pathing is really bad if you go that way and you gotten twin blade booster IV for dagger which is completely useless for Katar. If you need any tips, you should work backwards from where you want to go.
