成立於2020年5月的踢霹歐爵士大樂團是由一群致力將傳統美
國爵士精神帶進二十一世紀的國際專業樂手們所組成。
最初專注於演出《美國早期歌曲選集》的作品,但隨著樂團的
演化和擴編,踢霹歐現在已經具備各種不同的編制,演出曲目
和風格也擴大涵蓋到拉丁、當代R&B、流行樂曲,更有自己的
原創作品。
創始人與指揮高杰(JimGeddes)創辦踢霹歐的初衷是希望能增
進音樂與聽眾互動的體驗跟連結,而在這個過程中也不斷帶領
團員們在各方面持續地進步。

曾經說過:「一個大樂團是一群音樂家,因為對於某種音樂有
信念而聚集在一起,大家為了共同的目標和理想而演奏,而並
非著重在表現個人的音樂成就上。」
這就是踢霹歐的我們最希望能達成的:匯集一個具備國際水準
的樂團並為所有人帶來最棒的表演、聲響及體驗。
The TPO Jazz Orchestra, established in May 2020, is composed of a group of international professional musicians dedicated to bringing the traditional American jazz spirit into the 21st century.
Initially focused on performing a repertoire of early American songs, the TPO Jazz Orchestra has evolved and expanded over time. The orchestra now boasts various ensemble configurations, expanding their repertoire and style to encompass Latin, contemporary R&B, popular music, and even original compositions.
The founder and conductor, Jim Geddes, started TPO with the intention of enhancing the interactive experience and connection between music and the audience. Throughout this process, he continuously leads the members of the orchestra to improve in all aspects.
As jazz pianist, big band conductor, and composer Stan Kenton (1911-1979) once said, "A big band is a group of musicians who come together because they have a belief in a certain kind of music, and they play together for a common goal
and ideal, not for individual achievement."
This is exactly what we, the TPO Jazz Orchestra, strive to achieve: to gather an internationally acclaimed ensemble and deliver outstanding performances, sound, and experiences to everyone.
