"When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore."

"Twenty-two years ago, I stood where I stand now - and watched my loved ones die, betrayed by those I had called friends. Vengeance clouded my mind. It would have consumed me, were it not for the wisdom of a few strangers, who taught me to look past my instincts. They never preached answers, but guided me to learn from myself. We don't need anyone to tell us what to do. Not Savonarola, not the Medici. We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us, and too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose - whatever you think is true - that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me. Or anyone else."

Ezio auditore. This man taught me more about life than i ever could imagine. Love. Liberty. And time. He taught me to treasure these things while i still have it. And to not let go of it over something as foolish as revenge. As he did. I respected him as a real individual. And even cried when he died in embers. Truly a noble and wise man. He was the best assassin and the wisest. He is the greatest. It was an honor to be with him from the beginning till the end. Requiescat in pace... Ezio...

Your not alone Ezio's values of freedom especially stood out to me and his speech in Forli is my favorite moment of his. He taught me the benefits of being open minded and not being afraid to question things or voice my opinion on them, the importance of standing up for what's right and the importance of humanity (ironic considering the body count Ezio produced lol). Altair before him taught me the consequences of arrogance and the importance of knowledge (I know Altair isn't as popular as Ezio generally but personally I liked him equally to Ezio who I've always considered a worthy spiritual successor to Altair).

Even as someone who never got to experience Ezio's story first hand, I believe his to be the best and by far most well known story. He, like altaïr, is a legend among men. A balance between the first and third games. A past not a grief filled as altaïr, but a goal that is more humble than that of Connor. He has experienced grief and arrogance alike, but has surpassed both, and has formed his own story with a legend that lives on even now. He truly is one of the greats. Requiescat in pace, Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.

"Fiorentini, prestatemi orecchio. Non seguite me, né nessun altro." -Ezio Auditore

i feel like this is ezio's motif, rather than "ezio's family". Why this song is the motif for ezio is because every time he has a speech, his grandest moments, this song plays. His death note to his wife, his speech to the people of florence was all ezio, his words and his alone. It's peaceful, graceful, gentle yet impactful, this is what ezio has evolved into over his life and he has peace. We cannot say the same with the other assassins is because at the end of their games they dont find peace, they find more work till their liberation and peace. Connor got rid of the templars but he needed to lead colonial america into a truely liberated land. altair needed to rebuild his order, it takes decades for him to even get a hold of his order by the time he was old and frail was when he needed to work hard to rebuild a order from treachery. Bayek needs to start this order of hidden ones, he needs to expand this ideology wherever there may be evil. but at the end he built the italian and ottoman to last, even assisted in the restoration of the chinese brotherhood not to mention the stories that spread and his influence to the assassin orders all over the world. He retired and found peace, he did not need anything more to do, he lived a full life. the reason ezio suffered the murder of his family was because of the templars pure control over the people, they did not like that they had evidence that could be used against the members of the order so they had enough power and control over these people to kill them with ease. The reason i think it's the motif for the series is because every assassin we see from ezio has something taken away by the templars because of their control focused order.

@@Bombalega600 Well for me who has had strict parents all my life who never had the money to even let me think about building a decent PC, buying an Xbox on the cheap and games for 2 to 3 dollars was one of the best things I could do. Not everyone has 600-800 dollars lying around to make a decent gaming PC. For some, a console is just enough, and for others, more than they could ask for.

When i showed this to a few friends they just called it Ezios theme.
@writershard5065
@writershard5065 4 жыл бұрын
I think it very much is Ezio's personal theme. It plays when he shares moments of friendship and love with those he cares about (Leonardo, Sophia), and then it also plays when he speaks from his heart (like the speech in Florence). So I think that while Ezio'a family is his theme for his assassin life, this is the theme for his personal life.

When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore.

“Silencio! Silencio! 22 years ago I stood where you stand now and watched my loved ones die, betrayed by those I had called friends. Vengeance clouded my mind. It would have consumed me were it not for the wisdom of a few strangers who taught me to look past my instincts. They never preached answers, but guided me to learn from myself. We don’t need anyone to tell us what to do. Not Savonarola, not the Medici. We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us. Too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose whatever you think is true that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the way. Choose your own way. Do not follow me, or anyone else." Ezio, Assassin’s Creed 2: Bonfire of the Vanities

I have something to confess about this song. While Of course AC2 was huge part of My childhood and still is due to refinishing it on Ezio Collection recently. 2 years ago (January 2022), my cat died and it was one of the most traumatic moments of my life, and i buried my cat with this song playing . So every time i listen to Salvation Of Forli , i remember My cat and become sad and i wanna cry with it 😢💔
