It is strange .. When I was playing this game on my old PC, it was insanely good and I did not have a single problem with it ...I´ve installed it last month on the newer PC and it looks and plays terrible ... what a misery

I'm on the same card and I have the same problems. Although I think the game has always been like this and its only feeling really dated.

There is also a cheat engine fix for the shadows resolution. There is not fix for the terrible LOD though... :/

GTX 980 Ti here and the pop ins are just as bad if not worse. Seems this game hates 900 Series NVIDIA GPUs and newer drivers

just tell yourself it's the Animus constructing the city ;) it gets a bit better on Brotherhood. I actually stopped Playing AC2 a few hours in and went straight to Brotherhood, which I finished.

IMO ac2 is toe-to-toe with ac4, give it a shot, you might like it :D

This is late, but I'm curious if you found a solution for this on PC. I'm experiencing the same problems with the old AC Games, which is strange, because it never happened before and now I can't fix it. Different graphics settings never solved the problem at all, and neither did reinstalling, so it must not be the games per se that are the problem. Not too sure. Any solution?

I have this with ac2, bh, revelations and also kinda with rogue. It happens only on pc and on ps4 it runs fine but I don't want to play games while a 100 decibel box is making noise. Did you find any solution?

i think this game is best played with low graphics setting so you wont see those pop ins

I don't think it's a bad console port. I just think it needs tweakked a bit like a render distance bar. Like I've seen worse. (GTX 1060)

I played this game recently and never had any issues like this, however in every AC game npcs and trees, bushes, etc show up right as i'm about to run past them and it's incredibly annoying. is that because most AC games are crappy console ports or is that just the way most games are?

I made this comment a month ago and just started playing the game again, i had a repacked copy of the game before and everything was fine, but I bought the uplay version and I'm now experiencing the worst draw distance I've ever seen. even worse than what this video shows. The fact that it was a repack made it sort of a different game and I didn't notice anything but now it's horrible. I never experienced anything like this on xbox either so the fact that the game is worse on better hardware is bullshit. this is what i get for buying a crappy PC port. so moral of the story: buy the game to support the devs, then download a repacked version so you don't have to deal with the shitty work that the devs did

+Charlotte Kelso agree on somethings, disagree on repack makes it any better. have both of them, played in both of them, its releated to drivers not being optimized for older games.

Rohith Kumar i'm sure you're right, i have updated my drivers since i played on the repacked version. the old drivers were from 2013 so that could explain why i didn't see the issues as badly. i honestly don't know that much about this kind of thing but i'm trying to learn more.

This type of pop in,is it game problem ? Or console port issue ? Playing Black Flag on pc now and when I see NPC generating 10 feet away from me it just makes me angry,I know the game is very demanding but still really hard to accept this.Exact same issue with Watch dogs when driving at very high speed.

+Mr.Nice Guy your a lucky guy.. for me every game i had have this issue.. cod mw2,far cry3,ac4,gta 5 and all games like web games.. the draw distance and anisotropic filtering was like off.. damn i could not live with this i just upgrade to 750ti.

performance is not the issue here, it just is unplayable for me playing like this , cant see anything solid 20 feet away , people change dresses, grow hair on bald head as they are coming towards you , it's as bad as Unity now

It's not that serious, remember it's an open world game with a lot of info/things happening. Gears of war 1 at close range had the issue that was so noticeable

This engine in Ac suck,lod pop in like 2004 games. Same in Ac 3,4 and unity
