For a game that requires precision, the controls for this game are very sloppy and inaccurate. I'm sure most people could finish this level with some practice if Ezio didn't jump in all different directions other than the one that the player controls him to take. It seems like luck and not skill when you actually jump to the correct part of the path.

+stigmajosh Yeah, that's been my biggest complaint about Assassin's games since 1 (well, that and timed missions; I hate timed missions). The AI isn't worth a shit. You'll be running after a target in the middle of Venice, and suddenly Ezio will start going up a ladder or jump into a well. Hell, half the viewpoints I synchronize end up in desynchronization because he jumps in an opposite direction of the haystack. Ubisoft really needs to work on their AI and the intuitive nature. Instead of churning out a new game every 5 months, they should do like GTA and take a few years to make a masterpiece. Hell, II was 2 full years from 1, and so they gave everyone a game that was a lot better in many respects, save the intuitive issues, IMO. But then Brotherhood, Revelations, III, Black Flag, Rogue - they all come out so quick that the minor annoyances aren't fixed in any game.

People who did this easily probably played the game on a PC. On Xbox to do the advanced jump you have to do different timing with your left hand and your right hand. You can’t let go the joystick with the left (just go up, then right) while you have to let go and press again “A” (jump) button with your right hand. First I didn’t realise that I lift up my left finger from the joystick button when I release “A” button. Even if timing is close to perfect it feels like luck (I could do it about 40% of the time). Good news is that you only have to do the first 2 advanced jumps perfectly: 1 right, then 1 left from the statue. The next one when you are running towards a green (mossy) wall, you can make a mistake as you will land on the same level. For the rest simple jumps will do. Turn off the volume, doing timed missions stresses out everyone. AC2 is still a great game in 2020.

The best tip here was definitely to turn of sound! It made everything so much more chill and I actually managed it on my second try after watching this video. Keep trying you can do it!

I’ve always rooted for the assassins tombs. I feel like I’m one of the only people that actually genuinely has enjoyed them. They were never that difficult, and the puzzles were fun. So believe me when I tell you, this tomb makes me want to smash my head into a f*cking wall

I really wish they would either fix the extremely buggy controls, or stop making challenges that require long sequences of fast, perfectly executed movements. They could also stop fucking with the camera view, and in other ways, basically cheating to make sequences "artificially" more difficult.

For first three wall jumps, run up the wall by pressing legs/high profile/forward (hope I make sense, I'm playing on pc so don't know what are the buttons on game consoles). When you're up the wall, release all buttons/keys and press(no need to hold) both legs and right or left, depending which way you want to jump. I'd advise practicing on the shield of the statue before trying out the whole route or even better any smooth/no grips wall outside the tomb for that matter. The rest of the mission should be easy as long as you take the time to adjust your camera (left or right) in order to avoid falling into the water. Hope this helps. :)

This was more sloppy than challenging. I knew all the steps and where to go next but the controls and camera angles were so frustrating and unhelpful. Ezio keeps jumping in the wrong direction or into the water. The puzzles in this game are fun, and would be 1000x times better if not for the clunky controls.

Thank you very much for you help. I spent about 1 hour here, hating and swearing this extremely annoying level. Then I read on a forum exactly what to do, after that it only took 2 tries. Ironic enough, if you do sync your moves right, this is the most easy level and shortest of all tombs. :)

I smoke bomb those big bastards. Anyway, here's my tip for people frustrated with the game: After you activate the lever, don't rush. Take all the time you need, and figure out your way through the course. If it takes you a while to land the wall-skip jumps, take your time and land them. The timer is going to run out, but you'll still see where all those levers are supposed to be. You can plot your way through the entire course, until you know which way to go, and then go through a timed mission and nail it! You think all these gamer walkthrough people are just instant experts? Hell no! lol They do what I'm talking about: They plot their way through, so then when they replay it they look like gamer pros.

I just found it out from PC how to do it its super easy so when you to the wall with right click and space then while ur on the wall, before u fall you choose right or left ( depents where u want to go) and the u push space AGAIN!

I have never screamed at a game as much as I did attempting this tomb. Why does ezio constantly jump in every direction but the one I want him to? Why is there water on the ground? The water just makes it slower to get back to the beginning so whenever I mess up, I run out of even more time

I’m here as a AC fan. My first game was AC 2 I’ve come back to replay it and I want to say my piece. The game developers tortured us with the parkour controls. I was lucky I got though it all in a reasonable amount of time. This one I only messed up 2 times. I watched how you did it first then I tried it myself. I managed to do it.

For a game with such an incredible story with incredible characters it sure has such flimsy parkour/movement mechanics. So many years later and the mechanics still piss me off. I hate when i want to jump in one direction but Ezio says screw it and goes elsewhere. It’s especially annoying during these timed puzzles. I had a tough time playing this but this is how I managed to pass this tomb, first i had to get a new controller, since it requires precision, u need a perfectly working controller, secondly, turn off the game sound,,,the time ticking sounds makes you feel like you running out of time, so you will start doing everything in a haste…so basically just have a good controller and turn of the sound

I don't mind that this a difficult mission aggravated by miss direction controls. At least I feel I've got my money's worth unlike some of the hand holding games of today. I feel the biggest problem is using the joy stick method. The D pads the best! Doesn't help that you can't calibrate them.
