I liked the visual difference between how Haytham and his son fought. Connor was very energetic, lots of powerful swings and explosive energy, lots of movement and rolling and mobility. Haytham is almost the opposite, exerting minimal effort and expending as little energy as possible with his high-precision fencing moves.

I managed to equip him with a heavy axe and he fights just like Connor with it! (I don't remember how i removed his sword from inventory, but you can find the hessian with the axe in frontier near Valley Forge, in Black Creek)

Xa-Moto 19 Unity's combat system had difficulty, it makes it challenging and realistic that is hard to kill 12 guards at the same time. And I think he meant BF and Rogue. Those games had the same combat system, but they removed tons of animations and made it look a bit clunky as sometimes the sound didn't make sense with what The character was doing with the sword, and the possibility of double counter was incredibly decreased.

Altaïr because he had an actual transformation from an arrogant prodigy to a very wise and compassionate person, and because the philosophies presented in AC I made me question things and brought actual perspective. And then Ezio is because he has a relatable backstory, he's a fun character in general, and just playing him over the years cemented him as my favorite of the bunch. Plus AC II, Brotherhood, and Revelations have my favorite game mechanics and characters in the franchise. Though I enjoy the rest (Bayek the siblings from Odyssey excluded) they just haven't gotten me as interested as these two. Though like I said you can have your opinion and if you enjoy the Kenways the most, power to you. That's the beauty of having these different characters to begin with.

Haytham's animations were the best in the entire franchise. It was so satisfying just to walk around Boston as him - the way he adjusts his hand to hold his sword holster, the way he held a defensive stance in combat. I would much prefer his one-handed combat to the later games' two-handed. Shay was second to Haytham in terms of animation immersion, the only downside being 2 handed in combat.

I love haythems almost cocky, precise movements in combat, its like hes physically saying "you cant touch me", and imho its a little mire entertaining to watch compared to connors more brutal yet basic style(this might be because we spend most of the game with him). Wish haythem had gotten his own game, or that we had a chance to use him more
