I am going to wait and see how this shakes out. They haven't ever really taken the lore and really pushed it in a solid direction. Lots of loose threads that just hang and are never picked up in a meaningful way. I have been a fan from the start but I am fed up. Valhalla felt like it never truly ended and I don't like that. I hope this game is more focussed. I hated the uncovering of targets and the way it was done in recent games. I have a feeling this will be same crap as usual, but I hope it turns out well.

Valhalla was the only AC I skipped (having played the original AC back when it came out) because I was sick of the level requirements for missions. But I bought Mirage in a heartbeat. For the first 15 min it really feels Ubisoft went with what we fans want. Baghdad is amazing so far and living in the middle east myself, the music and Arabic dialect made me enjoy the game like no other game recently. Story is okay so far I haven't had much time into it yet.

Why? It's not like the main story is any shorter, Odyssey and Valhalla had like ten hours of legitimate story progression and forty to fifty hours of nothing but filler. Mirage is 20 ish hours of pure story and 5-10 hours of side content.

@@stevelarocque69 The only good AC game was original. Rough around the edges and unfinished, but still game about assassination and the creed. Then they've introduced Ezio the Mary Sue batman... Just compare the trailers of the original AC and AC mirage. In the first one, the guy dispatches quickly guards directly in front, kills the target, and runs away. In Mirage, he reveals himself, fights a ton of guards, then chases the target half across the city... because it "looks cool"...

(story side) So in mirage, the story will be about the creed. Which is 1 of my most anticipated things I'm excited about. Gameplay has always been the same for me. Run around, do missions, unlock stuff. In a nut shell. So i don't feel like mirage will be bad on that end.

I tried to like the game, but I really hate hiding, and on top of I have to hide and use weak ass swords. This just makes no sense. At least the weapons should have been powerful, one hit must make the opponent bleed or at the least, bounce back with pain. In this game I can slide, and slice, and slice and nothing happens. It just sucks... I tried to play it, got everything, bought everything, but it is just a weak ass game for me...

Your presentation is very nice. A+ to your salesmanship. But taken in retrospect, it seems like this game is very barebones. And not just in comparison. I hope that it has side missions with meaningful narrative, but it seems like it's more about doing main missions or doing the same two missions, just different locations. Also, the parkour animations are identical to Odyssey, which people criticised at the time.

Heres the problem, ppl love the rpg open world AC games what ppl are meaning when they say "we want the old school feel back" they mean we wanna be an assassin! All the new g!mes you barely have anything to do with the hidden ones. They kept remaking the same game over and over so we needed the rpg games like origin because the series was dying before origins. This is what they need to do, make a chinese/japanese based game where your like a ninja or samuarai, kind of like ghost of tsushima, have it be open world, rpg mechanics but add better stealth and make the main character an actual assassin. When ppl say we want the old we dont me a remake of the old ass games from xbox 360 era, we mean we wanna be a freaking assassin not just some random dude. Origins was amazing, odyssey i didnt like but it looked beautiful and valhalla at least had the hidden blade but it was still to disconnected from the series. I really hope that ubisoft ubderstands this and doesnt keep remaking because remaking the original games isnt what ppl want we got burnt out on those games they need to combined the old and new ones together.
