I would love to see an Assassins Creed set in modern day Baghdad or Jerusalem or an area like that. They established that they have Assassins in the field today back in AC2. Ubisoft could have used that idea as story line for Desmond Miles. In AC2 when talking to Sean when out of the Animus 2.0 he said the reason Lucy is giving Desmond Ezios abilities is to send him out into the field, he also said his job is to monitor field agents. They could have taken that story line far with Desmond becoming Mentor. But that idea died with Desmond in AC3.

Is safe to say the OG gamplay for a assassin's Creed is dead and I'm okay with that. Haytham games and the ezio games was peeks Creed . Who ever worked on those games at ubisoft thank you.

Biggest issue with Assassins Creed (which Mirage is the start of the fix) was transitioning from the original game format to what it is now basically an RPG fantasy type game especially with odyssey. I’ve said before they could take the games like odyssey, Valhalla, Syndicate, even Black Flag and make them a whole different franchise. They really are far from what assassins creed began as and was meant to be. They should start making Assassins Creed games to be more like the original format, come up with another trilogy like they did with ezio. Then take games that veered away from that format like odyssey and Valhalla, change the names of things and tweak the story then call the franchise. A Warrior Story- ___________ Then add a title for the storyline like a game set in Feudal Japan (A Warrior Story- Samurai) That would give them two franchises assassins creed and then a game similar to assassins creed using the same or similar mechanic and gameplay element, that way it opens up story possibilities and gives games about Vikings or pirates or samurai’s more room to make a great story instead of being locked into the assassins model where it doesn’t fit and seems forced.
