Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a 2018 action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. It is the eleventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins. Like its predecessor, the game features a large open world, and adopts many elements from the role-playing genre, putting more emphasis on combat and exploration than stealth. Naval combat from previous titles in the series also plays a prominent role in Odyssey. The game's setting, while fictional, is based on real-world events. It tells a mythological history of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta from 431 to 422 BC. Players control a male or female mercenary who fights on both sides of the war as they attempt to find their family and eliminate a mysterious organization known as the Cult of Kosmos. Odyssey also continues the story arc of Layla Hassan, a major character introduced in Origins, who relives the mercenary's memories through the Animus device as part of her efforts to locate a powerful artifact on behalf of the Assassin Brotherhood.
Development of the game commenced shortly following the release of Assassin's Creed Syndicate (2015). Following the footsteps of Origins, Odyssey facilitated the transition of Assassin's Creed into a series of action role-playing games by introducing player choices. Compared with other games in the series, Odyssey has a larger focus on mythology, in this case Greek mythology, and a smaller focus on the conflict between the Assassins and Templars, which is the central narrative element present in most Assassin's Creed games. Throughout the game's development, the team was inspired by other contemporary RPG titles including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout. The music of the game was composed by The Flight.

likewise. it felt so hard to play valhalla after this game. it had all i could ask for gameplay wise up till that point and valhalla was just dull. tbh it would be hard to go back to odyssey now aswell. its the biggest game iv played and the scale of the world is just colossal. its a game u only play once and absorb it to its fullest.

The atmosphere of ancient Greece was appropriate to seek knowledge & bring in new ideas, Greek people were heavily indulged in that practice. We all are beneficiaries of their contributions. We don't have such places anywhere in the world, everyone strives for their own material benefits.

Mit Origins zusammen das beste AC! Wunderschöne Welt, eine interessante Geschichte, die nicht nur von Rache handelt. Ich habe es zur Corona-Zeit gespielt und hatte so wenigstens das Gefühl etwas Urlaub machen zu können! Spiele es gerade zum 3. Mal! 🙂

C’est étrange à dire mais même si je viens du Québec j’ai l’impression que cet endroit est mon chez nous je mis sens chez moi et c’est à mon humble avis le meilleur jeux qui n’est jamais exister et l’extension des lames est un véritable tour de maître en fait tout le jeux en soit est une œuvre d’Art digne des Grecs. Can't believe that Ubisoft basically ended on this game... I thought Odyssey would be a start of something new and much greater. But seems like it's only going downfall since then

Not the best AC, in some cases i hated it, in other i loved it. But somehow, they managed to make an ambient so overwhelming, a mood so peaceful, with a main story pretty much well made that i will pass to Valhalla with a serious emptyness in my heart. (Yeah i know it's a little bit too late, but i litterally played all AC games with my gf and now we are in the Atlantis DLC, and then just Darios DLC and we leave Ancient Greek forever)
