Origins is actually genuinely my 2nd favorite AC game (black flag is 1) odyssey took origins and made it shit with godly powers terrible story with almost no memorable moments. I literally can only think of a few moments from the game and I spent like 2 weeks on it.

I love AC but I have to agree with the Japanese audience. I think it’s a slap in the face to them because notice that all the other AC games had protagonists with the ethnicity that represented the games’ setting. It’s unfair to Japan. They should have had a Japanese male and female protagonist. We don’t need diversity if it’s not necessary. If they wanted yasuke as a playable character they could have put him as dlc expansion like they did for Jack the Ripper back in Syndicate.

Pushing it back to next year is diabolical, especially since Ghost of Yotei was just announced and it releases next year. It's gonna swallow that Assassin's Creed whole and make it forgotten upon its release. And Ubisoft have always said that it’s loosely based on real life events, they take what inspires them and run with it. I wasnt planning on buying it. I've only bought two Ass Creed games. Black Flag because I wanted a pirate simulator, and I bought Odyssey because I like Greek Myths. Thats it. I dont need anymore. If Ghosts of Tsushima and other samurai games didnt exist, I would consider buying shadows, but other, better games are available so I dont need it.
