Copying Ghost of Tsushima? Seriously?? You got that backwards. GoT copied AC. The only thing AC is copying is the setting. However, Ubisoft has been talking about making a title like this (set in ancient Japan) for many years prior to GoT even being thought of, much less released. There's quite literally no way for them to make a game in this setting without having it be extremely similar. But don't get it twisted, while GoT had several unique aspects (combat controls, story, and to some degree the setting), almost everything they did copied from many games before it and it copied from AC probably more than almost any other franchise...

@@PRIMAL_BLADE Ghost of Tsushima doesn't have parkour at the level of Assassin's Creed. Also, AC Shadows graphics approach to realism, while Ghost of Tsushima is stylized like paintings. And the place setting is also different, AC shadows is set on mainland japan with bigger cities and bigger castles than GOT which is set in a small island with two small castles and several towns and the rest are farmlands and villages. The things that are probably worse than GOT are the combat and story which we don't know yet.

However I do acknowledge the difference between the islands and that 😭 I think got will have better graphics,combat and probably climbing features like the grapple hook

Looks great. Only thing I don't like are the level-gated enemies. The enemy levels are off in some of the scenes though so hopefully you can turn them off like on Ghost Recon Breakpoint to make it more immersive.

Because AC has never been about accurately mimicking history , it uses history as a background to tell a story about the Assassin Brotherhood and Templars . But because everyone likes how the games hop from one time period to the next. Ubisoft ''pretends'' to present the game as a 1:1 recreation of history whereas if you have followed the games from the begin that has never been the goal .They state at the start of everygame that game is ahistorical in use of history to tell a story

That Wall run into launching the grappling hook is the type of thing that should existed in Assassin's Creed Syndicate. if it was the grappling hook in that game would have been better received it should have completed Parkour not reduced the need for it

I’ve seen a few videos now of Japanese people tearing apart the historical and cultural accuracy of this game’s presentation. But besides that being a problem, the gameplay looks fun, though at times you can see some bugs such as Yasuke’s sword going through his sheathe. Or Naoe practically phasing into an enemy she pounces on. Little stuff like that I was confident could be fixed by February but now with it delayed til March I’m more than sure that mini stuff like that could be fixed. As far as the stuff Japanese people didn’t like about this game’s presentation, I feel it could be fixed if the game devs came forward initially stating that they’re making no promises if this being a completely accurate depiction of their culture or history. But they didn’t so they’ve messed up with that.

Naoe's parkour gameplay looks solid. However, I noticed some inaccuracies and a lack of cinematic spectacle, like why are sparks coming out of the swords and why is the camera so stiff. They did no camera work, lol. Compared to games like Tsushima, Shadows is missing some Details to really sell the gameplay.
