It's actually Prince (Consort) Albert. A king will have a queen consort as a spouse, but a queen will have a prince consort.

She is loved very much here in Canada. We honor her as our Queen every year with Victoria Day on May 18th. She held a very special place in her heart for Canada and Canadians in general. She had never visited here in person mainly because of politics as home but she did send her son Albert Prince of Wales in her stead in 1860.

@@superduperisaac I wouldn't doubt it,English is way more expressive, but the elder influences and the people around her whom she admired were whom she relatively kept the most contact with and this was probably the same with them. I wouldn't doubt if the royal family had a completely different Dialect when speaking multiple languages that distinguished them from the common people. It would have been popularized and the public would have tried to emulate her speech. As we know Dialect is regional and isolation does have an effect.

I dont agree. She’s basically famous for reigning a long time, having a passionate marriage and nine children. Nobody can really name anything she did or contributed to. She meddled an awful lot in government (or tried to, anyway), was a total snob and was generally a very spoiled individual who domineered over her children. The era that is named after her is famous for its time span and the fact that a lot of change happened under it. But that was due to other individuals - NOT HER.

They were married in in 1840 (They were both 21 at the time), and had what was a truly loving relationship. That was until late 1861 when he contracted typhoid fever, dying at the age of 42. Which as you can imagine, completely devastated her. Hence she lived as a widow for the next 40 years. Ruler of the mightiest empire the world had ever seen, but alone.
