Out of this trilogy I have to go with Odyssey for now. There where endless things to do and I started playing Valhalla and I’m starting to fall in love with it and I actually. I didn’t really enjoy Origins at all and that was mainly due to the fact that I didn’t accept AC going the RPG route at the time.

Valhalla's combat is better than Odyssey because it feels more impactful and has dismemberment. Odyssey wins about contents because Valhalla looks incomplete. To me, it feels like a beta of the actual game we should be playing. Ubisoft loves to make us pay to be beta-testers of their products. As i always say: Ubisoft should spend less time apologizing to the Tumblr psychos and spend more time polishing their games

But I play Valhalla like an AC game, so I almost never actually get into combat, I'm stealthing 99% of the time. Well i do prefer valhalla over odyssey for 3 things 1 i hate the stupid amount of loot on odyssey that grind for getting the same armor with another color but better stats i felt like i was playing assassins creed borderlands changing gear every 5 minutes 2 the stupid amount of boring and almost forced side quest so you could meet the level of the mision so you can go and play it 3 the map yes it was huge and colorful but everything was like a copy paste with some little things to make it "unique" In that aspect valhalla kicks odyssey because every region in valhalla looks and feels diferent and unique there are diferent color paletes in some regions and the terrain changes in much of them and well the side content its like a breath of fresh air that makes you want to explore or at least for me i have 100 hours now and havent got to 50% of the story so its a win for valhalla for me

Ubisoft always following the trends of current gaming industries like. Its good but they completely becoming a "following trend game". The last AC i liked is Origins. The settings is fresh and the story is still "reliving ancestors life" than "roleplaying as someone and change their life as we want". AC really lost their identities. They tried to be dark souls, witcher, sea of thieves, rdr, etc while completely forgot they are assassins game that face templars. Dont forget those modern time story that i dont even care anymore since AC 3. They dont really progressed anything at all each series and just abstergo is templar, the end. If they just straight forgot it, i wouldnt even mad. They dont care about it anyways..

I enjoyed Odyssey more than Valhalla even though odyssey wasn’t a real AC game. I don’t know bout y’all but Valhalla should of kept the side quest missions like Odyssey instead of these lame short mysteries scattered all over the map and most of them wasn’t even that interesting. At the point where I’ve reached power level 400 I just stopped doing those mysteries and other stuff and just completed the main story. Odyssey however I completed all the side quest missions because they were interesting unlike those short silly mysteries in Valhalla.

Im getting much better performance in Valhalla then in Odyssey.. in valhalla i can run in 4k at max graphics and push out about the same frames in 1440p in odyssey and i had to tweak the graphics alitte at that.. am i missing something..?

@@xONYXo1 i7 5960x oc at 4.8ghz with a gtx 1080 ti and just too much ram.. but i fixed the issue.. what i did was turned off HDR and set my resolution to 1080p.. restarted the game and set it back to 2160p and enabled HDR.. then BOOM.. frames dropped like crazy.. now its running like Odyssey at 1440p with tweaked graphic settings.. smooth and silky.. dont know why the game was saying it was at 2160p while it was at 1080p.. because every time i minimized the game things opened on my desktop shrunk to 1080p.. thats how i knew i had to mess with my resolution a little bit.. but now the game has more well i dont know how to say it.. its just more colorful i guess...

@@Adam-bd9ox I've used the same equipment during my playthrough because there's no point in using equipment you haven't upgraded. It's similar to Dark Souls equipment system, which sucks, and makes you use your valuable resources in the same weapons and armors so they don't go to waste on lower equipment. Variety is scarcer and they even want you to spend ridiculous ammonts of materials to make several weapons and sets usable ,something that won't happen unless you are planning to play hundreds of hours. Wasn't it better Odyssey level system for weapons? You used tons and if you loved one in particular, you could upgrade it to your level to have it always with you.

@@rober4 uhh in odyssey I don't remember having the same weapon for very long because I got different versions of the same shit, after I'd seen it all, constantly. And the level gating was horrible. The only thing I liked was the visual customisation. I've been using different weapons in Valhalla, especially different dual wield setups. I have found the pace at which I discover new weapons pretty nice too. They're there, you just have to get them lol. There's loads. Currently set on my two daggers, hoping to find more but I also like these enough to keep them for the rest of my playthrough. I also like to switch to nothing in my left hand and use the hidden blade in combat . Almost all of the weapons I use are currently flawless tier and I find no problem in upgrading them when I switch to them because I tend to have enough resources. I gathered upgrade resources through natural gameplay with a bit of extra searching.

Oddyssey offers a huge experience, but the quests are super repetitive, the story is meh and it has less attention to detail, but the overall game is quite enjoyable. Valhalla offers stronger writing with a better protagonist, the world feels more alive and immersive and is, though smaller, filled with things to do. I personally prefer Valhalla all day, although Oddyssey is still a solid game. Hope that helps👍 Edit: so I'd get Valhalla, but if you haven't played Origins I'd get that first, and then play the next 2 games.

So first of all. Horses can swim in Valhalla after training at stables and the arrows are visible after unlocking reinforced arrows in skill tree. Second of all idk if i am blind but to me Valhalla looks much better at everything. Draw distance is the best it has ever been, rocks look like rocks not like polished marble, every shire looks different unlike odyssey´s copy pasted locations because the world is just too big. Odyssey is good game, but Valhalla is better in every possible way. just my opinion after 80+ hours on both.

did you even play the game? odyssey is not about an assassin! The main char is Isu's ancestor. You will see more about assassin when you play the dlc "Legacy of the first Blade" and you will know what happen. And you will meet one of the legendary assassins from the statue in Auditore's Villa.
