Since there's no information at all about the Aquila after the events of Assassin's Creed III, it leaves room for speculation. In this video we speculate about what might have become of the Ghost of the North Seas.

I love the idea of the Aquila disappearing in the Triangle, but may I add a twist? What if........... There's a piece of Eden kept on an uncharted island right in the middle of the triangle and all of the ships that disappeared in the Triangle were Tamplar ships in search of said piece of Eden and wouldn't you guess it, they were all sunk by the Aquila. Legend holds that any ship flying the Templar flag is greeted by a mysterious white vessel that is as quick as the wind that appears from the fog and lays waste to the Templar ship and then simply vanishes back in to the fog, awaiting its next victim.

What about the modern boats? You mean to tell me the Aquila has been sailing around without stopping at port for near 200 years, and continues to sink boats that cannons of that era couldn't even dent? On top of that, what about the planes that go missing? There's no way the Aquila could have shot a plane out of the sky, with cannons that don't even shoot upwards.

This would work well with my thought that the jackdaw should be commonly referenced in different AC games (figurehead being the head of a wooden statue, later found in 1600 by an explorer and put on a ship won by Edward in a bet, the wheel travelling the world and the jackdaw itself sunk and referenced in books and conversations as a ship capable of bringing down all it faced) along with my thought that shays ship should have parts in museums across time, fabled as a ship related to the destruction of cities. It would create a trinity effect, one more or less lost in time, another doomed to war for eternity and another destroyed and to never see a drop of water again

I love that little idea of the Aquila disappearing in the Bermuda Triangle! It adds a little more mystery spice to Connor's life and the overall Kenway Family Saga. I had the small thought that both the Morrigan and the Aquila squared off and destroyed each other, forcing the crew to go to shore to finish things there.

ZisCode1 really late on this one but the wiki stated the aquila was actually a brig, a shipline inbetween a schooner and frigate. Brigs are usually around 5th or 4th ship of the line but since the aquila has been refitted with so many guns, its considered a 3rd ship of the line, same as a frigate.

When Assassin's creed Rogue came out, they said in one analysis that the Morrigan was the one that sunk the Aquila hence the state she was in during Assassin's Creed III.

I personally subscribe to the idea that the bermuda triangle has a piece of eden that guides all ships around and away from an island shrouded in fog, but if one holds an apple of eden they are able to sail torwards it and land, and perhaps one of Connor's assassin recruits and faulkner found an apple and were going to present it to him when they found the island and landed there docking the aquila in a cove and venturing out in an expedition never to return to her, she did not decay into nothing, and still floats in that cove awaiting the current brotherhood along with a few other planes and ships lost to her island of horrors. its also why the templars have yet to recover that item of eden and why the aquila could come up again in the future or present day story. not necessarily to fight, but as an interesting assassin artifact, like ezio's belt in ACB

This could work because in real life, the 'mystery' has been solved thiugh many do not recognize it as solved, many rogue waves occur in the Bermuda Triangle because of the wind patterns that blow onto the water and cause these waves, and especially in the 1700's, any ship would be fairly likely to sink due to rogue waves nevermind present day, whether it is because of Isu connection in Assassin's Creed or just the real life meaning of the Bermuda Triangle.

Bass Lightyeah, Haytham travelled to Corsica island to capture a boy named Lucio which was vital for the Templars (but we are not about this now). Haytham arrived just in the middle of civil war and found that Lucio is being protected by Master-Assassin and not just simply a Master-Assassin, but a Mentor of English Brotherhood and a good friend to Haytham's father Edward Kenway by the name Miko. Some time later, after a planning his actions Haytham managed to capture Lucio, but finds himself being followed by that same Master-Assassin Miko. And they fought, but Miko was no match to future Templar's Grand-Master and was overpowerd by Haytham. During the fight Kenway managed to get Miko's Hidden Blades, but showed mercy to a defeated Asaassin. Some time later Miko became a Guardian of the Key to the Grand Temple and Haytham Kenway had no other choice, but to kill Miko this time in theatre Covent-Garden in the begininng of Assassin's Creed 3, using Miko's former Hidden Blade.

Bass Lightyeah, No, but this boy was really important in Haytham's life and than Lucio's and Haytham's story was very important when Èlise de la Serre was ordered to infiltrate the Kenway mansion in London, but that is another intersting story. I recommend You to read fully canonical books Assassin's Creed: Forsaken and Assassin's Creed: Unity.

At one point the Aquila was in the Caribbean, ironically enough, it was the ship that destroyed Edward Kenway’s ship at the start of AC IV (the prologue) and set Edward off on his journey through the events of the game. If you look closely at the main ship attacking you at the start, through the storm, rain and smoke, you can see the Aquila’s figurehead on the front of the ship. Ironic really, the fact that Connor’s future ship was used to bend his grandfather Edward Kenway’s ship right over and fuck it in the ass with cannons lol

Strictly speaking the Aquila is more a Ship of the Line than anything else, albeit a small third-rate/large fourth-rate. A frigate does not carry over 50 guns and most only had a single gundeck whereas the Aquila carries 60 guns over two gundecks. It should be noted that its sail plan is that of a Brig however a Brig would carry no more than 14 guns

Yeah. I hope if they ever make a future one there will be a choice to get and upgrade every ship type and keep them docked in your hideout. Also better ship customisation would be neat. You should be able to paint different parts of your ship yourself and create your own sails, wheels and maybe figureheads in shops. And add more parts to your ship such has a place where you can hold muskets so you can actually use muskets when boarding. Maybe a customized golden rim with different shapes. But since its Ubisoft we are talking about I don't think they will bother. I like ac battle mechanics but I wish customization was done by rockstar.
