I think the idea of assassins not being able to immediately assassinate ANYONE is an incredible mechanic. It makes sense that A. Some assassins are more skilled than others due to a lifetime of training in that specific technique and B. Some enemies are more trained and alert so naturally they obtain a higher rank. But obviously the "toughest" enemy is not always the most alert and thus not the highest rank in the fort or whatever.

@keithstone7323 It's just my opinion but I always try to skip the looong camera spin that happens every time I unlock a new fast travel location, especially when it's not my first time playing the game. They could've added it as an optional setting though, just like 1-hit assassinations (or like the nostalgia filter in Mirage). Sync points probably still give exp or points to level up/upgrade so that's why they kept them like this

His parkour's not that big of a deal imo. He's a heavy brute character, we all know this so I would just expect his parkour to be as simple as Eivor's movement. No need to get your hopes up on his parkour when there are other aspects of his gameplay (like combat and shi) that are gonna be much more practical for his character. Plus we already have naoe.

I'm optimistic about this game. The majority of the issues we've seen have been exclusively related to the marketing, and what issues in gameplay we've seen so far seem to be already improved in these latest reveals. I think this delay to February is gonna do a lot to help the game but I'm sure there will be a lot of issues holding it back come launch, still. Audio design, character gameplay design, actions design and flow all seems great. I think this one might end up becoming underrated in a few years time. Cautiously optimistic. I mean, just these new nuances in enemy AI is exciting

since i'm not japanese i won't talk about the hat or the tower (which both seem like a non-issue to me, especially the hat since there's only so many designs you can do so i'm sure they might be similar) but The bow being too loud for stealth is like complaining that in games npcs don't hear guns with silencers. Many games have done Bow = Stealth thing.. even Ghost of Tsushima

I cannot freaking wait. This sounds like my dream game with perfect stealth mechanics. I just hope Naoe is feminine and not some hyper masculine "female" character like Kassandra and "female" Eivor that clearly just used modified male bodies. And I'll swap between lethal and non-lethal. It's more fun to switch it up in games that allow it. Maybe I'll feel more empathetic to certain factions and only knock them out or something.

I've always tried to be as stealthy as possible in my playthroughs, even in valhalla, where the stealth was ass. So, Yasuke's stealth being tied to his bow is a big no no for me. I'll play as much as possible with Nao instead

The ai doesn't seem like it was built for stealth. You could be right next to the enemy and they wouldn't see you. The positioning and placement of the NPCs in enemy camps weren't thought out and you wouldn't even need to analyze where they were because it was so easy to rush and still not get caught. The enemy ai made them absolutely retarded and unrealistic. That's why it was ass.

The enemy ai is horrendous and you can tell it wasn't designed with stealth as its main focus. The placement and positioning of enemies is also bad. You can rush a camp and not even need to analyze where the enemies are at and still not get caught. The ai makes the enemies dumb and blind. That's why it's bad.

Her outfits look so cool, i just wish they kept the valhalla mini game for heavy guards assasination kinda balanced it out a little, I’m sure there is an option for 1 hit assasination though, also I don’t like that observe reveals loot, i just hope the game has a toggle to remove that it feels cheap

Yes they have confirmed that there will be a toggle to turn them on and off for 1 hit assassinations
