The Dikastes's staff deserves to be mentioned. It is the best and easiest way to recruit someone. After engraving Melee Attack Damage applies to Nearby Enemies, the enemies you knock down will restore your HP as long as you attack them.

I use the Blade of Yumminess to make Nightmare even more challenging. I use it together with the Bighorn Bow, Convert Assassin Damage, Health Capped to 25%. The rest is a perfect Assassin gear set (purple) with 100% Crit Chance and a total of 675% Crit Damage. I can 1shot Light Attack every normal Soldier 2shot the Captains. I just assassinate Polemarchs and Mercenaries in 1 hit. Even though all my gear is Level 91 and I am currently level 96 which makes my enemies 96-97. The challenging part is not to get hit, because I lose 50% crit chance and 350% crit damage when not full health and I die in 2 hits AND I can not use abilities. Edit: my second weapon is a perfect warrior sword with warrior dmg, crit damage, damage with swords and the health cap

You should go for warrior items instead of assassin items. That will give you 300k damage like in my build: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDLhKF4dsh3gZY You can then make 10 million charged heavy attacks and 5 million charged arrow shots. The assassin damage you have is more than enough to normal assassinate mercenaries. Going for more asassin damage is very suboptimal. Check out the video.

I started it at around level 70 where I didnt have 100% crit chance, so I wanted my assassin damage to make sure to 1shot those mercenaries. There are sme, but they did not make it into the list, The staff of hermes trismegistos has a unique 40% chance to take half damage engraving. And the Staff of the Diskastes has warior damage and daamge with staffs, the knockdown damage is pretty crap and more for toying around, but you can use it. Other than that look out for any weapon with warrior damage, critical damage and damge with that weapon type. You can find perfect epic weapons with these engravings, similar to Heitors harpe or the harvester of time at the blacksmith.

Staves and Axes are all you need. Other weapons are inferior since they don't inflict AOE damage. You could also use a sword for extra attack speed in case you need to be on the alert to dodge, such as during boss fights.

Spears and blunts have that too. But AoE is a negligible effect in this game. Really... very steep decline in damage you have to make a perfect hit if you use bull rush for example.. The attacks or abilities that use it are unfocused. But if you like it, then its ok. Everyone can play as he wants, but the majority would probably disagree.

During the majority of the game,however, AOE weapons such as Axes and Staves make killing a lot more efficient, especially during conquest battles, which are very difficult on hard mode when not using a heavy AOE weapon such as an axe.

@@henriramadani983 I had no difficulties on nightmare and I did not use these weapons for it. I think that is a very personal opinion you have. But it changes nothing on the list, I considered the minotaur labrys btw, but the list had only 20 positions and there were really very few good staffs or heavy blades in the game, that had damage with heavy weapons or staffs on it. The weapons I picked are not picked because of their weapon types but rather because of the quality of their engraving combinations and what they can do, you will probably agree on that.

Hey man just a quick criticism/request from a big fan. For your videos about 2020 shit like best weapons or best builds now, a lot of us who are watching might be working through the game (or in my case, the DLC) for the first time so if you can avoid late game spoilers like the Hades boss fight that'd be much appreciated. I'm on Atlantis episode 1 so seeing that was kinda an unfortunate spoiler. Especially without warning. And these kinds of videos are most useful to people like me still progressing through. Or just non main story bosses. the mythical creatures are great choices because theyre not tied to the narrative. And theres several of them to the point that seeing one you havent seen before isnt much of a spoiler. Hell we saw medusa and others in the games trailers. Its not just that I dont want to see the fight and how the boss plays, knowing im going to fight them is a big spoiler if you didnt even know theyd be involved let alone a villain. Like imagine if I saw the leonidas fight and hadnt played episode 1 yet. Just something to think about brother its your channel so its your call. Itd just be appreciated.

Hades's executioner is very strong if you have a strong fire damage build (because fire tick damage can crit) and is really useful for hunter players because the explosive arrows can burn enemies instantly now. You can easily get 100k damage per fire tick and deal millions of damage over time. Of cause you need to play more defensively if you want to take advantage of this but I think this perk is worth it.

Damage over time is something you do not need in this game. You can one hit everything, and elemental damage increases your impact damage aswell. Going for damage over time is always resulting in very poor suboptimal builds that mostly suck. You will sacrifice tons of damage for not being able to kill your enemies and having to wait for them to die slowly. Any engraving related to increase the time or buildup for damage over time is not recommend to be used in any build at all. Anything that has such stuff is definitely not a good weapon in this game. Period.

I play a hunter Build and focusing on fire tick damage was really not a problem because I had already high fire and crit damage. At least for hunter players I didn't see a lot of sacrifices. The perk help me finishing of enemies in mostly less than 4 fire ticks (~4 seconds for my fire tick rate). This is why I personally think the perk is useful because it helps me "one hitting" even hunter or fire resistant mercenaries with a body hit and at least for my hunter Build it didn't take long for enemies burning to death.

What about ezio Roman's sword I think it has 25% more crit on here strike and I added 20% more damage on hero strike. Combined with ezio Roman's full suit then you basically have infinite hero strikes that are op

The milanese sword is good, but was not available for everyone, that is the main reason I did not list it. Although it would be perfect if it has warrior damage. With assassin damage its a bit sub optimal. But certainly on par or better than the two legendary swords I mentioned. Heitors Harpe is still the best sword. though.

If we had more than 3 slots for weapons (6 technically depending on whether you use the best legendary engravings on the weapons themselves) what do you think would be the fop 10 engravings for purely damage? I have a feeling you're gonna say crit chance and crit damage (something I've never tried yet) so let's imagine there is no crit chance or crit damage what are the best 6 damage engravings combinations for the weapons

@@nezkeys79 I only meant the ones you mentioned, of course. 30% Damage while full health is an ok engraving, but there are much better ones, like damage conversion, armor penetration, falx engraving, weapon becomes fire damage, etc... Which I would all prefer over it. Damage to elites and bosses only adds the value to your base damage. I believe it adds 20% damage, so you would be better off with 20% warrior damage, because this one is not limited to a specific enemy group and gives you the same damage. Like many of the ability enhancers that give you +20%, they are useless, because the primary damage +20% warrior damage gives you the same, without any limitation on it. The game had a level cap of level 50 at release and warrior damage was capped to 10% back in these days. So the balancing was ok for the legendary engravings, but since the level cap was increased up to level 99, the regular engravings became more powerful compared to the legendary ones and even outperform many of them. In fact many of the legendary engravings are weaker giving you worse and more limited bonuses than regular engravings. This is the reason why we almost everytime only use Armor penetration, 100% damage, and damage conversion. anything else isnt worth- The new DLC might change this only slightly. Definitly the new +100% but -100% resistances will have a profound impact. In general the best and most effective engravings are the ones for weapon damage, critical damage and crit chance. Weapon damage is more important than critical damage.

@@T7PDM ah nice. These are the ones I use personally myself but I was sort of looking to see where some if the others actually rank. Surely 30% damage to elites and 50% damage when facing multiple enemies is better than fire damage or poison damage? The issue isn't for me what is good it's that you don't get enough slots really. 100% damage x2 plus armour penetration is three slots so no room for damage conversion this way unless you place 100% damage on armour or use legendary weapons that already have the engravings you want (like falx and atlantean). Neither of these are that bad anyway tbh but not perfect either. For example I'm currently running this ... 1. Golden Harbinger (only legendary weapon with 50% headshot damage). The 1% health restored on headshots is kind of meh but then again all the other options have 1 bad stat anyway and have warrior damage / damage with spears etc that I won't use as an archer anyway. Achilles Spear for example has 20% damage with multi shot and I use that all the time (as well as devastating shot), but the other two stats are warrior and spear damage. Engraving Added: 100% damage but health 25% 2. Atlantean Blade (comes with hunter damage and 50% crit damage so good already before the armor penetration). Engraving added: Weapon damage Poison Damage. Its used in my assassin build (where I think the poison Engraving is the best?) I could add another layer of assasin convert damage if they stack though 3. Bighorn Bow. Engraving added: convert assasin damage to all damage Master Artemis: Head: 100% damage but -100% resistance Arms: 100% headshot but +50% adrenaline consumption Body: 20% damage with bow charged shot Waist: 50% headshot damage Legs: All arrows pierce shields

@@T7PDM I get these stats... 670% Hunter Damage 410% Headshot Damage 60% Bow Charged Shot Damage 30% armor penetration 200% all damage but health 25% and -100% resistances Convert 50% assassin damage to all damage types And my headshots heal me. 1% isn't that bad tbh when health is capped to 25% and only need to heal periodically. I just don't know if any other weapon is worth dropping the 50% headshot damage from harbinger I don't know why the damage I see with charged headshots using devastating shot are still low. For instance on civilian 2.5m. Or is the game that screwed up that I need to just stack warrior damage with bighorn bow instead of hunter damage with bighorn and that produces more damage than stacking hunter damage and bow damage abilities?

Yeah, I dont like poison so much, there is still other weapons that did not make it, like the Greek Hello. But I already reduced it from 25 to 20. Still a lot of other good weapons in the game, but these are the ones I really used for my videos and builds.

The stats of this item are messed up, if you unequip it, everything is back to normal. Why would you use another bow? Sadly it has no 10% Crit chance, but just check out all the amazing builds on the channel homepage, you dont need another bow, dude.

The Polyphemos Cyclops bludgeon isnt bad either plus 25% elite and it looks cool

Like with all the damage on enemy groups (athenians, spartans, etc.) the +25% on elites is not correctly multiplied by your weapon damage factor (i.e. damage with swords) it only ads a small bonus on top at the end of the formula, which barely makes a difference. 20% warrior damage @140% damage with swords will be: 20% x (1+1,4) = 48% in reality, outclassing this by far.

I would suggest making a video based solely on explaining the damage types and calculations if you are still making Odyssey videos. I have a feeling you could get a lot of views from this, as I haven't found any videos or Forum/Reddit posts that explain this. Off to watch those other videos now. 😁 This is where you're losing me with the damage calculations. The Dagger of Kronus comments confused me. If it adds an additional 40%, how is it not now 80%? I think I might not completely understand how the Warrior damage vs DPS vs damage per hit works. I've searched many times for videos explaining this(including yours), but I can't find any.

With Hunter damage and adrenalin per crit, you have two total losses for a warrior or assassin build, no need to have it. never used it in any build. so it is reasonable not to be a top weapon.

The Assassin spear is the better choice, but I usually dont use it, because its very hard to get, if you picked the wrong one, even harder than the Spartan Javelin, since it requires the full playthrough of the game + DLC. I've got Typhons mace with 25% Warrior damage, 30% with heavy blunt, the legendary engraving is 20% damage with charged heavy, and have crit damage or armour peneteation in the 4th. I rate this higher than Hammer of Jason.

Agreed. May have overlooked it. Charged heavy attack and 50% charge time reduction is a insane combo with heavy blunts, btw.

The damage cap was raised to level 99 two years ago. You can reach that with the base game, when you install the normal updates. Dont watch stone age builds. This is the only build channel you need.

Die Darksteelmask wurde ja im 11 Million Hunter build verwendet, sooo gut ist sie jetzt auch wieder nicht, der Unterschied zu zu einem Helm für Gift oder Feuer Builds ist gerade einmal 10% bei Gift und sogar noch geringer bei Feuer. Außerdem wird sie beim Weltrekord verwendet.

Is Gameplay in Nightmare ?

Everything was on nightmare, I only play nightmare, dude. And damage is the same on every dificulty, btw. Only the enemies health is different. You can always determine when an mercenary has 3.5 million damage from an assasination, that it must have been nightmare, because assassinations exactly show the amount of health of your enemie. so check the assassinations in the video. This wasnt the best gameplay at all, wait for the anniversary video.

Wenn du diese Waffe ausgerüstet hast und sie im Spiel aktiv ist benutzt dein Bogen den Basisschaden der linken Waffe. Das Spiel zeigt das im Inventar jedoch nicht an. Wenn du die andere Waffe benutzt hast du sogar den Wert der anderen Waffe, wenn du Pfeile abschißet. Also pass auf, dass du die immer richtige ausgewählt hast. Und erwarte keine Millionen, wenn du nur 10k Schaden machst. Thats possible, but its horribly annoying, plus you still deal way less damage, than by using your abilities. I can just recommend everyone to play the game normally and NOT use the noobiness blade. Just start using your powerful abilities. That must not necessarily mean you use it, but in general that blade is a noob trap and you have to get out of it. T7 PDM so what I’ve been doing is going around to all the various islands and syncing the viewpoints. In the meantime I scrounge around and do some side quests and kill a few mercenaries. I’ve managed to kill a few cultists and upgrade my spear to level 3 I think. Or maybe level 2.
