I haven't exactly asked around whether or not artists use mice with Photoshop, but I'm almost sure that many if not all use some kind of electronic drawing tablet with Photoshop. I would be very surprised if GeeGeeMac drew this with a mouse. I would certainly recommend spending a hundred or so dollars, if possible, and get yourself a drawing tablet. If you are just starting out as an artist AND you're going to try and conquer Photoshop with a mouse... Good luck, mate..

This makes me want to just not even attempt to draw anything. Lol! This was great! I've been thinking about getting a Wacom tablet to edit my photos with. I like to draw, so I thought I would give it a shot using in to draw with too. Too bad I suck at drawing or painting! At least this way, I won't make too much of a mess and waste money on paint and pencils!
