For real, picture how many small town high school kids snuck off to one of these treelines with a girlfriend/boyfriend. Or whoever tended to these fields, maybe they stopped for a cigarette near the thick undergrowth that now houses a dozen men shooting and getting shot through the trees. Oy

As a former infantryman I found this terrifying...not the actual arty fire but the advance through the brush. It was like a horror movie when you realize all the bad things that can happen and the interaction between mission, enemy reaction, terrain, time, and the efforts to control the effort. They are doing some great stuff here.

Tree line after tree line after tree line ... Much respect to everyone involved. Thank you for continuing to post these. All the best to you and your buds. If anyone is wondering about the flag on their vehicle, it's based upon an actual, olde timey pirate flag, and is a genius mod. "Three months later the pirates were off the coast of Brazil flying as a flag the Old Roger which was ornamented by an anatomy with an hourglass in one hand, and a dart in the heart with three drops of blood proceeding from it in the other." - proceedings of the trial of Captain John Quelch at Boston, 1702 An "anatomy" -> skeleton. The hourglass signified every man's limited time on Earth. Substituting an assault rifle for it (ammo runs out for everyone eventually) was brilliant. "Old Roger" was a nickname for the Devil, predating the commonly used Jolly Roger.

The whole situation strikes me as intensely surreal. It's distressing to witness individuals inflicting harm on each other, merely acting upon the decisions made by those in power, comfortably ensconced away from the frontlines. It all feels so futile. If only warfare hadn't been part of our dialogue, humanity could have reached so much further.
@Dasistrite
@Dasistrite 11 ай бұрын
It's part of mother nature. it's in the rules of life to attack, protect, strike, defend. Even ants destroy and attack other colonies so their own gets bigger. We will never be able to get away from nature. Only artificial "life" might be able to escape it but since those will be made by us i think it will imitate us as well. This war will continue because no side is willing to "Back down" and come to some kind of conclusion peacefully. Ukraine must stay free but Russia wont let another country join western block out of fear and pride. Ultimately i think this war is between USA and Russia, Ukraine is just the current playground. Peace be upon those who lost their lives to this war. May the sacrifices to the moloch end as soon as possible and may the forces that made this war happen be brought to justice.

One thing that strikes me as both amazing and sad is how breathtakingly beautiful Ukraine is during the summer. Those big blue skies and fields of grain and yellow wildflowers perfectly personify the colors of the Ukrainian flag. What a gorgeous countryside and Putin's invasion has brought death, destruction, and traumatic injury to a beautiful Eastern European paradise. As for the maneuvering, fighting, and bravery on display... clearly these dudes have lionhearts. And being foreign mercinaries, flying Blackbeard's flag from their infil vehicle is just the most badass thing possible. lol.

These treelines they move into are a lot more impenetrable and impossible to see in than they look from the vehicles, like in the previous Arnie and Cognac footage. What a nightmare to try and keep situational awareness when you can't see more than 5 ft in front of you.

I appreciate this so much watching brothers you feel closer to than some family, and able to compartmentalize in an instant when your brother gets injured. Without panic, without letting the emotional connection cloud judgement they act professionally getting their brother to the medic and eventually the improvised CASEVAC Maxxpro. Only after everything does the impact of the emotional toll strike, we must support these brothers in arms, whilst they do their job, but not forget the toll and impact it will have on them afterwards. Heroes mean different things to different people, my definition of a hero is someone willing to fight for what is right, regardless of fear or risk it may have on their own body and mental state. These men are Heroes because they chose to step up and fight for what they believed was right and in my opinion defending a sovereign nation from a belligerent, imperialistic nation, who harms POW's and civilians due to the fact they're deemed "lesser" or worthy of extermination is a just war. In the words of LT Jean Rasczak of the Roughnecks 2-0, 6th Mobile Infantry Division, United Citizen Federation, during the battle over Klendathu "Do you want to die, or do you want to live forever?" 😂😂 WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE?
