Great video. Looking forward to getting dirty on my Ural!

The scenery is absolutely stunning, and you didn't trash mouth the Ural. I'm going to take a serious look at getting one for myself. I've been looking at them for a few years now anyway. I had a Globe sidecar hooked up to an old Beemer several years ago, soooooooo. I'm 75 years young, so a sidehack makes sense to me! Have fun on your rides, and yes, make as few rides on the interstates as possible.😂

With a Ural it’s all throttle and very little clutch. Ural has come a long way. I had a 2005 Patrol and I currently own a 2010 Gear Up. My wife absolutely loves it and when I have my frustrating moments with it and mention to my wife, I think I’m going to sell it”, she loudly says,”No!!!” 😄 Ural is the most fun you can have in a motorcycle but it requires allot of tinkering. Not a big deal, it just the nature of the machine. Owning a Ural is a lifestyle. It’s not for the shy type as it’s a magnet for curious folk. It’s all good….

why did that tiny stream at 6:35 give you guys so much trouble? It looked to be a foot deep, if that. I've heard that the Ural doesn't have alot of torque in 1st gear. Did you get stuck, or was it that you never put it into 2WD?

that bit in warren reminds me when I was hammock-camping my way through the west on a 2000 Yamaha V-star 1100. was in NW Oregon on some mountain byway, stopped at a rest area for the night. it was 70 something during the day, but it dipped into the 20s at night. I put on all my clothes and sat under the hand dryer in the bathroom at the little rest area I was camped at. it wasn't fun. I didn't realize how cold it was until I got up early the next morning and saw a quarter of an inch of ice on my bike.

A great adventure for sure, and a superb high definition recording, even though it's uploaded in 1920x1080. KZbin has still converted it to a very high quality VP9 codec, while it converts mine to AVC1 which looks like shit, unless I upload in 2.7k and above, which uses all my data very quickly.

hi im going to be getting a ural but ive been trying to get an answer about how is the ural two wheel drive in snowy conditions? does it travel well on snowy roads?
@TheSidecarGuys Жыл бұрын
Hi Hunter! In our experience, a Ural is great on snowy roads! But you wouldn't want it to be in 2WD constantly for this, there is no differential when in 2WD meaning the Ural just wants to go straight. 2WD is really used if you get stuck or something but 99% of the time it isn't needed. But would definitely be useful if you were really struggling in the snow. Hope this helps!
@Hunterlp2022 Жыл бұрын
@@TheSidecarGuys thank for your answer! I have one more question and I was wondering if taking the side car off is possible? If so have you done it and are you able to make a video showing us your opinion?
@TheSidecarGuys Жыл бұрын
@@Hunterlp2022 No problem! Are you thinking of taking it off to ride solo? It's possible but we certainly wouldnt recommend it. A ural is built with a sidecar in mind meaning it handles great with a sidecar but would not be good to ride without a sidecar.
