The problem I have with a possible Rock showcase is that 2K has proven over the last three games, that Showcase isn't the biggest deal to them like it used to be. Rey's felt half assed, Cena's was a cool concept, and 40 Years of WrestleMania was just sad considering this company started their run with 30 Years of WrestleMania that was done right. Now if they did it like they did the Austin or Daniel Bryan showcase, great, but I don't think they would

If done right, they would have a chance to make one of the best Showcases. They to me would have to model it after Stone Colds showcase in WWE2K16. But they can include matches that we know like HHH at Backlash 2000, but matches people don't remember or know like vs Bret Hart in early Raw 1997, vs Ric Flair Raw 2002 vs Eddie Guerrero 2002. The 3 on 2 Handicap Matches with Rock and Stone Cold vs NWO OR The Rock and Foley vs Evolution but I would love the what-if matches like The Rock vs Shawn Michaels or The Rock vs Rey Mysterio. It has great potential.

2K hasn't left any room for another nostalgic showcase. They even did the Monday Night Wars already. I think the "What if..." series is a great idea but I'd like to see another Road to Wrestlemania featuring 4 or 5 superstars, with voiceover and original stories. That way, we don't get another watered down showcase with generic music and half of the footage blurred out.

I think there’s still room for a nostalgic showcase if it’s done the right way. If they decide to go the superstar route then you have Triple-H, The Rock, & Undertaker just for the unlockables alone. If they didn’t do that then they could go the celebration of a show like Royal Rumble, Summerslam or Survivor Series. Other than that, “What If?” would be interesting

I think they could do an entire year "WWE year" in more focus. Say pick you 1998 (or a Wrestlemania year from night after right up to the next on), have matches up and down the cards not necessarily just the ME. All the arenas from every event and TV show For instance at RR98 you might have HBK vs Taker but for No Way Out have Headbangers vs Goldust & Marc Mero! Just an idea anyway.

I want to see Undertaker Showcase. Similar to what they did with SCSA in WWE 2K16 where they do a whole career retrospective for Undertaker. Have about 50-100 of Undertaker's greatest matches and opponents throughout his career. You get alot of characters from the attitude era, early 90s, ruthless agression, modern era. A big emphasis would be on the WM Streak matches they didnt do last year. Also, a chance to play the Bone Yard match against AJ Styles. Also, they could do a Defeat/Defend the Streak mode where its similar to WWE 2k14. Thats what I would put for Showcase.

Showcase Mode NEEDS big improvements. I agree with your points. And those objectives are horrendous. As for now can you also cover Quality of Life Improvements. They are more likely to end up in 2K25 if we speak up now being that they're simpler task for the devs to tackle. Let's start with superstar uniqueness: Shawn Michaels corner Irish Whip bump, Kane backwards roll out of ring, Triple H's look as he pulls out the sledgehammer, Trish Stratus' matrix reversal, The Rock just bring it and Hulk Hogan's finger point (freeze paybacks for Rock and Hogan) and more. Then tabs by brand for Universe Mode to make setting up a card simpler.

I like the showcase snapping to real footage, but if they replace it I wish they could set up towers or keep with the timelines and use everyone except Benoît and anyone else where there's an issue. With many more licensed names they do not have to do a lot of special work match to match- just do the checklist of target moves. They can keep many of the big match spots in game, using mocap, where you can still freestyle the match itself.

What would the point be of having the wm40 one? We are literally going to get that as it just happened this year. There would be no new arena to unlock since we are going to get wm40 automatically, same with reigns, same with cody, and it would be a sin if they wouldn't give us the latest version of the rock. Also yeah i know they did that in 2k24 but do you realise how stupid it is to play over 30 matches just to unlock the same wrestlemania we are supposed to get but the difference is that its during the day? I’d love a whole “What if?” Showcase with several different stars. Take it a step further where you create a whole “what if” story arc as a result of the initial match change. For example…Hogan beats Rock and then it takes you on a new fresh story arc that could’ve happened. You could do that with several big matches throughout the years. I agree, remove the slingshot tech. It takes me out of the moment and honestly the novelty has worn off for me.

I really think a wwe game would benefit from having updates and keeping it as accurate to current day tv rather than having sequels. WWE 2k24 is a good base model to do that with. I'm sure 2k25 would be even better. I know they wont do this because money is nice but think about how cool that would be, seeing a big superstar debut or return and then a week or so later having them be in the game for FREE.

Wish list "WWE 2K25" Watch and Why? 1.Multi language. Most games (like AEW Fight Forever) already have several languages. 2.Remove dodge from the game. Dodge is a resource suitable for Boxing (or martial arts) matches, not for Pro Wrestling. 3.Chain wrestling sequence. All Pro Wrestling match It basically starts like this. If WWE 2K wants to be recognized as a simulator, this feature should return. 4.Backstage (WWE 2K19) begins with a cut scene. Breaker Box Spear located Backstage OMG; TV Monitor Spear box located Backstage OMG; Office Table DDT located Backstage OMG, Fights inside the Chief's Room are resources that are sorely missed, despite current improvements. 5.Create a story. If "2K" returns with this feature it will be hours of immersion, lots of content created and edited by "youtubers" focused on Pro Wrestling games, lots of interaction and Downloads in community creations. 6.Table Stacking; Pick up Table and move freely; Diving finishers through table; Leader moves interation. The freedom of interaction between fighters and objects is one of the features that made this game so fun. 7.Different chair actions.The fighters’ interaction with the objects ("Pedegree", "DDT" or "Tombstone Piledriver" in chair) has always been part of, not just the sequels, but also the previous games. 8.Steel cage OMG; It's better to Breaks The barricades; Under rope aprone moves; Skull Crushing Big Boot on Ring Post OMG. All I want for WWE 2K is more control. I want total match control. When I'm in universe I want to choose whether wrestlers can bleed for each match. I want to select how long the match lasts no matter what when I play the CPU (Would be great for content creators). Does the match end on a submission or a pinfall after a finisher. If HHH can book matches down to the small details then I should be able too. Rock showcase would be ok but I agree we have seen the same thing. I'd be happy with just a version of the final boss. How long has he had his updated tattoo and we've only had community creations put it together but its just odd 2K hasn't updated him

Would be nice if 2K or Yukes can implement the day of reckoning engine, but have it similar with svr11 as far as improving the havoc system they had prior and also utilizing chain grappling with limb targeting, groggy grapples, as well as strong chain/groggy grappling for more powerful moves / signatures which adds more to superstars arsenals. All moves can be interrupted as well as diving or hitting a move near opponents will cause them to react and take damage🤷🏾‍♂️

I could see them more doing a Roman showcase. They could even start at Big Dog Roman since Shield Roman would be complicated without Dean. So you have multiple Roman attires from Big Dog to WrestleMania 40. Then you can get more attires for his opponents, like Seth who you could get many attires for.

Unlockables, in general, are on the rise of being paywalled. It's almost pointless to buy the next entry now, and the fact a 2K account can only potentially be generated through a game instead of the website, after they're "aware of that issue", I'm becoming inclined to skip 25, this time around. Unless a handful of these unlockables can be dipped into MyRise, call me crazy, it doesn't seem to matter what 2K puts in the next release. That said, i think one Legend and one regular star Showcase should have unlockables that tie in with each item, like Character attires and entrances, moveset, arenas (even Main Movie selections), and once Showcase mode is complete, it's one instant unlock (for select choices in MyRise, since some will be mandatory upon certain story branch choices). I think it's overdue that players get a better flow of unlocking things where they aren't required via 2K account (MyFaction, for starters)

Yep you love laziness then. Just look at 30 years of wrestlemania and 2k15's,2k16's showcase modes they mo capped everything and had you do qtes, with commentary wasn't so lazy your just watch a match with generic stock rock music over it between the same shit objectives

While I don't like showcase, what I would like is if they added a few matches from legends, men and women. I guess similar to 2k24 but I didn't care for 2k24 personally. And you could access any match instead of being forced to play through the ones you dislike. I'd love to see rivalries featured like Trish, Lita, Chyna, Torrie, Stone Cold and The Rock personally.

The past several Showcases have been underwhelming for sure. Cenas was ok but the Rey one had too many filler matches that no one cared about and the Mania one missed out on not getting us more WM arenas that aren’t normally in the game already (18, 19, 23, 24) or getting us better, fan favorite matches. This mode is going to be the least anticipated mode for 2K25

i just had a thought for the final match like what 2k did for the john cena showcase you pick what you think the best version of the rock is and then you beat all of the rocks foes in a Gauntlet match and that's how you win the people's championship

I am so over showcase mode. It's a chore to get through and i find myself playing on an easier difficulty just to successfully complete the objectives. It's an old and outdated mode that needs to FINALLY be put to bed.

2k kind of soured me on the game this year. I bought the WM edition and half the roster is locked behind MyFaction. There’s a good chance I’m not buying ‘25 because of this. Also, I’m not a fan of having 8 versions of the same person. If they do it though, do it with someone new. How about HBK? They could fix the teardrop suplex so it’s not some goofy spin move and it actually looks accurate and we could get a few versions of HBK. Lots of people ARE READY for DX, and I personally would love to see The Rockers finally in a game. We’ll see what happens…
