I notice you assembled the shed very close to a wooden fence. I am assuming all the fasteners and fixings etc can be accessed from the interior. I am about to order this shed and intend to site it within a few inches of my 2 metre high brick garden wall. Can you tell me if this might create problems in putting the shed together? Many thanks.

@@briancranch618 Hi Brian, actually no I pulled the shed out from the fence and fixed the screws then pushed it back. I shifted one corner at a time which was quite easy in my opinion.

How did you find fixing the roof on the side next to the fence? I am looking to purchase one of these sheds but it will just fit in the gap down the side of the house so it'll be pretty much hard up against the wall of the house and the fence. Looking at your video, which is great btw, it looks easy enough to build everything from the inside other than the long roof screws. I'd be grateful to know how you overcame this before I purchase. Many thanks. Mike

I noticed there is some confusion about this. Some sites call it the 6 x 4 and others call it the 4 x 6. I suppose technically it's either but the other version being out causes the confusion. On the Keter site they are currently both listed as the 6 x 4. Argos calls this shed the 4 x 6. B&Q calls it the 6 x 4 🤷‍♂️

None of our pieces just slotted in as yours did.......brute force was required. Great video. I put one together yesterday and found getting the roof panels into the slot a real headache. Now that it is together, something is not right as I have gaps at each end of the roof as it doesn't fit flush in the gutter area

The base needs to be very level for the roof to go into place without problems. That is all I can advise. Hope you get it sorted 👍🏻
@lukewordingham4824

@@PhillWyattProjects Thanks for the advice. I ended up taking it all apart and starting from scratch. I found the problem was once the panels went into the base they wouldn't mind up properly. So ended up making them up outside of the base to make sure they were level, the dropping them in the base. Sorted.

I had the same issue with fitting the triangular back piece. The locating "dowels" didn't like up with the gaps in the internal corrugation. I ended having to break the corrugations to make it fit. Spent a good 30mins trying to make it fit before realising it was never going to work. Also ran into issues with the hinge holes being too small and needing drilled up a size to get the screws to fit. Lost about an extra hour because of the issues we had. (base was perfectly level)

Hi great, guide, I built one yesterday, but I'm unsure about the window. I'm in UK too and there's a massive black rubber seal in the kit, presumably for the window, but there is no way it will locate this on the inner and outer window frames and there is no mention of this in the instructions or in the included parts list in the manual, but I've seen some videos using self adhesive weather strip to the outer frame but again no mention of this in the manual I don't see you adding any seals or weather strip, doesn't it leak? Appreciate your help.
@PhillWyattProjects
@PhillWyattProjects 3 жыл бұрын
This is interesting because mine didn't come with the rubber seal or any weather stripping. My window works just fine without it and does not leak. So it might be possible that they changed the design slightly but forgot to leave out the runner strip in some batches.

This has been really useful. I was worried that I would need to hire someone to assemble it for me. I at the least thought it would require two people. I plan to assemble it soon. My only other concern is that I have very little 'wriggle' room to get to all 4 corners and this may be a problem when inserting one of the roof panels. Is this shed light enough to manoevre forward and back to get to the back/ roof?
@PhillWyattProjects
@PhillWyattProjects 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Melaine it's quite straightforward to assemble just make sure you do it on a level base that really helps. It can be manoeuvred I shifted it a bit at a time to access the part near my fence then shifted it back. I would not recommend trying to lift it but pushing a corner a few cm at a time is possible if required. Hope this helps.

I'm having a similar dilemma, and not sure whether I should buy this or not. I have an odd little garden but can only fit this on a platform between the corner of the fence and a big oak tree! I will have only a few cm wiggle room and there is no way I can walk around it to put the outside screws. The only way I can think of is while I am putting the panels next to the fence screw them in one at a time straight into the floor. That way I don't have to do that step after the whole thing is put together.... alternatively put the whole shed on wheels!!! that may actually work =D

I was expecting you to seal the bottom panels to stop water coming in?and are the screws rust resistant?
@PhillWyattProjects
@PhillWyattProjects Жыл бұрын
You don't need to seal the bottom panels because they sit inside a channel that allows water to flow out. They screws have no rust on them so far.
