You can't. Put your bobbin in the bobbin space and let it reel while you're sewing.

Direct drive sewing machine does not overlock. It is a straight sewing machine. That's all it does. I don't know about pros and cons but the reason I bought a direct drive is because of power. It doesn't consume power. I wanted something that won't disturb my generator too much. I have 3 and I use a 2.8kva gen and no issues. I can't use 3 clutch motor sewing machines with 2.8kva gen plus iron.

Hello dear. Thank you for your wonderful videos. How is the sewing machine holding up? Can you control the speed with ease? Can it sew denim, canvas and leather? Someone suggested that I buy the Emel M2 direct drive. What do you think?

It's holding up real good. Yes I can control the speed with ease. I haven't tried to sew leather, Canvas or denim but I saw a post somewhere saying that the clutch motor machine does a better job at sewing those than this servo motor machine. Emel is a good machine but I'm a fan of two lion which is why my store is filled with two lion products 😂. I've been using only the two lion brand since 2015. I used the clutch motor version which served me extremely well before I switched to the servo motor (direct drive) version to save power and reduce noise.

@@busolaoyinkonsola613 That happened to me o. I disconnected it from power and left it for about half a day and then put it back on and immediately pressed the P button and the S then it showed numbers. I was so glad because I thought it had gone bad. Also please check your manual.

Pls can you tell the difference in the durability of the servo vs clutch motor cos someone was saying the servo motor isn’t strong

I only just started using the servo motor some months back. I used the clutch motor for 5 years and I didn't have any issues at all. I haven't had any issues with the servo motor so far. The technician asked me to get a POWER SURGE to prevent power from damaging the machine panel as it's more vulnerable than the clutch motor.

I haven't used Emel before so I don't know about it. I've used two lion since 2015 and I've had no issues at all. With direct drive your can control the machine speed. Also, it saves power. You can use 10 direct drive with small generator and it won't affect the gen. Also, direct drive uses servo motor (panel) while the other machines uses clutch motor so that noise on the direct drive is drastically reduced.
