That big block is an old beast with that rear cam journal groove. Good to see it's got lots of life still in it. With a stock cam, I'll say 405 HP.

Another one who came over from NNKH. Great content. Great quality video (filming and editing)! One thing the fortunate automotive YT'ers can do is use the revenue from the vid to make the money, often taking on what would otherwise be money-losing work. In that spirit ... I've never seen a motor "balanced and blueprinted" from start to finish. I wonder if this is something you might do for a video? All the best to you and your crew!

Great video! Picked up a few assembly tips too. Theres always room to learn no matter how many years I've been doing engines... but not as long as you guys! Soooo my guess on HP is 445. Nice combo on that. New KB pistons and what rods were they? Messing with stock rods is not worth it anymore. By the time you clean and recon them- you could buy a set out of the box, usually cheaper too! I can't wait to get the 396 back to the AGG shop to get this mill back in, and bolt up that 4 speed here that's just waiting to be thrashed by Chris. With the 4.56 gear, he's going to need tires next! The topic of the 289 valve back cutting- great idea. 80s 305 HO engines I saw way back had back cut intakes. They needed anything thing they could get! LOL I still back cut small cube lower lift valves too, worth a few cents.
