In this video I showed how to assemble a budget computer on components from aliexpress. The assembly uses an Intel Xeon server processor, which is significantly cheaper than the intel i7 of similar performance. I also made a detailed review of the Atermiter X79 motherboard with a component heating test.
Building a PC on a Xeon server processor for an LGA2011 socket is a good decision even in 2021. These processors are cheap, yet reliable, and are on par with modern desktop processors. LGA2011-based motherboards from Chinese manufacturers allow installing server CPUs without any modifications. In addition, they support server RAM, which is also significantly cheaper. There are many ready-made kits for assembling PCs on Xeon of various configurations on aliexpress.
