We do them every year but I make a sugar glue and put them together the night before. Helps so much. Wish I would have started doing that when the girls were little bc it would have eliminated a lot of the stress and tears over crumbling houses. 😂.

When it falls apart, you think, “should I just pitch this whole thing in the garbage and call it a day” 🤣🤣 it does look cute sitting in the dining room. I’m glad I stayed with it.

I always nibble and taste the house as I make it! Lol! I always get ours from Trader Joe’s however I tend to get easily frustrated with these and usually get one every other year! 😂 You did a FAB of a job!

You did a great job with all the details. I cannot believe they would give the same directions with this house as they did back in the day when there wasn't this amount of details when it was just icing and placing the candy randomly. There is no way one could build it and then decorate it. You did it the way they "should have" instructed it.

I always get my Daughter a ginger bread house at Christmas and she is nearly 40 .but now she can do it with our Grandson Harrison he is only 2 and half years but l think he will love sticking all the things on to it .great video thanks for sharing ❤❤

My mom and I started doing this years ago then it became a tradition. Some of them are ugly, but other ones turn out great. We even got some tools over the year to make the process easier 😂

I think these house kits are fun. I've done a few from Trader Joe's. I'm sure I could build one up from scratch, but I'd rather put that effort into something people will eat 😅

seeing the red glitter on the roof makes me think that even though you don’t usually see gingerbread houses around Halloween they could sell it with red icing to make it look like blood

Looks amazing! I use a hot glue gun to keep gingerbread houses together. No one eats them anyway 😅
