It looks good but I'm not blown away by it. I like that they made an effort to make the tracks more lifely and the wheater effects and night lighting are great. But on the whole it kinda just looks like any other modern sim. Which is not a bad thing as long as that means the performance is good as well. If I can get this to run fluidly on my Quest3 without having to make too many sacrifices on the visual fidelity front I'll be happy.

Check the interview with one of the leads, all this is answered. Game will include Free Roam, Traffic, Avatar Customization, early access test build will be they said at least 20 cars and at least 5 tracks, career mode is not exactly like the GT games and FM games, its more open ended, with encapsulating driver progression and immersion. Ofc more details on how this will be exactly in the final release are not known atm.

During the early access it will start small, at least 20 cars or more, and five tracks, and it will grow from there.....They also said they want the community to take part in the game's growth, so, they made a new robust editor for mods, so expect an explosion of tracks, open maps, cars, body kits, modifications...etc! @QDoppio tbh the physics is much more important than graphics in this genre, if Assetto Corsa EVO had graphics better than GT7 but physics like forza horizon then it will fail. Physics comes before all of that. Look at iRacing, it has terrible graphics but a lot of people still use it because of the superb physics

But Kunos said that when they finally release the mod support, they will control which mods will be in Assetto Corsa EVO, so those crazy mods like the t-rex or tom the train will not make it. Kunos want to guarantee high quality mods like RSS and VRC, also they might inforce licenses onto the modders, so we might never get cra brands that aren't in Assetto Corsa EVO

Kinda shocking for me, anyone could leave it like that, but at least should be easy to fix. Anyway, over years I'm quite surprised (or disappointed) with car sounds in simulators. Seriously, is it so hard to add real life sounds? I know they have to use a loop, but it's all about many different samples imo. Know many mods that make virtual engines/exhausts sounds exactly like real ones. But Assetto Cors EVO is just amazing. What i love the most, they add free roam mode, but stay close to "realism". It's when ALL games follow Forza Horizon, with easy, young kids friendly gameplay. Forza Horizon is just pain to watch, CoD has AA that makes it just "press to kill", MSFS has physics worse than GTA V, simulators (farming, construction) are getting worse and have android level physics. It's a new meta for lazy devs: make good looking game, with supercasual gameplay and make money on microtransactions. So respect for the Devs here. I'm gonna buy this game just to support them.

Game seems to be awesome, but these curb sound effect are extremely strange and rare even in arcade games.
