i drove a lotus 95t with 6 bars of pressure on the turbo on nordshleife without any assists, with a keyboard in project cars. I crashed almost every turn :), basicly in that car full throttle on the straits and apsolutly no throttle in the corners bcs im on the keyboard its either full thorttle or none at all. Oh and correcting dont even get me started.

"uncontested" I don't think that means what you think it means, because the indycar series has faster cars. And I don't mean because they race on ovals. They just are faster even on road courses. Plus fia purposefully slows down for cars using the circuit for "safety"

You joking? You think f1 cars never reach 200 mph? When was the last time you watched F1? 1981? F1 cars have hit 230 mph on a circuit just a few years ago, these days they are more downforce oriented, but they still reach 200 mph easily. Plus, cornering, which is what actually matters on a circuit, F1 cars are absolutely the fastest thing around a track, that is despite massive regulations trying to slow them down.

This inspired me to go out and try to set a time myself! Man, what a beast of a car. I managed a 5:07.0!...after about an hour of crashing :) You can definitely go sub-5; I’d love to see a video of you going for it! It’d be cool to see you going out, running for a bit, making some setup tweaks, trying again, etc. It would be a bit longer of a video, but totally worth it!

Managed to get a 5:12 lap with a small aero adjustment, 35L fuel and soft tires. I know I can knock it down to closer to or even just under a 5 minute lap but keep making the same small errors lap after lap. I'm a seasoned Nurburgring driver through multiple titles but never tried the Ferrari F2004 with AC. Loving this car and Assetto Corsa! Great video!

Holy crap! I have seen some fast laps on the ring, and driven a lot of very slow ones, myself. But I have never seen anything like that before. My hands got sweaty just watching you. Braking into Foxhole, and diving down into there.. Jesus H! I thought it was fast in a GT3 Cup car. No wonder they no longer allow F1 to run there. So many drivers would be killed.
