Assetto Corsa - Nurburgring 1000 Kms 1971

30 de mayo, 1971. La octava carrera del Campeonato Mundial de Marcas llegaba al templo de la velocidad, nada menos que al Nurburgring. Al igual que en la Targa Florio, Porsche llegaba a su país natal con los 908 como auto principal, tanto para Martini Racing, como con el equipo John Wyer. El 917 era demasiado potente para la engañosa pista alemana. Esta vez la jugada les saldría mejor, ya que si en la revirada pista siciliana los Porsche sucumbieron debido a accidentes o fallas mecánicas, aqui pudieron dejar atrás fácilmente a los Alfa Romeo, que solo lograban un cuarto lugar como mejor posición final.
Los Porsche 914/6, fabricado entre Porsche y Volkswagen, eran un arma formidable en la clase GT. Si bien el modelo no fue un rotundo éxito de ventas como modelo de calle, sí lo era para los equipos de carreras, logrando ganar en varias carreras desde 1971 hasta 1976. Uno de ellos incluso ganó la clase GT en Le Mans ese mismo año, largando la carrera desde el puesto 45.
May 30, 1971. The eighth race of the World Championship for Makers came to the temple of speed, no less than the Nurburgring. As in the Targa Florio, Porsche arrived to its native country with the 908 as the main car, both for Martini Racing and the John Wyer team. The 917 was too powerful for the tricky German track. This time the gamble would turn out better. If at the twisty sicilian track they succumbed to accidents or mechanical failures, here they could easily leave behind the Alfa Romeos, who only achieved fourth place as the best final position.
The Porsche 914/6, made between Porsche and Volkswagen, was a formidable weapon in the GT class. While the model was not a resounding sales success as a road model it was for racing teams, managing to win several races from 1971 to 1976. One even won the GT class at Le Mans that same year, starting from 45 position.

Good for a rookie at Nordschleife. I had chosen an old Porsche 906 but I didn't feel comfortable mostly on high speed corners. The 914 was a last day choice 🤔

First of all: Happy new year! 🙂 I just finished watching your race which was quiet a joy, even if you were struggling in the first and the last lap, which is pretty normal on the Nordschleife. Especially if you haven't driven there this much before. It is a relief to see, you have the issues in the same spots as me. 😀A pity, you could not make contact to the rest of the pack anymore, but still was very exciting, cause you put a lot of pace through the corners. Well done! But one big question: What kind of 911 is this in the beginning? If this is the R-Group one from THRacing Legends, then where did you get thiose skins (never seen them before)? And if it's a completely different mod, can you please tell my which one? I would really help me by building the grids for my races. Thanks in advance!

Happy new year for you too and thanks for watching this hot lapping race 😄 yeah did my best to catch the 914 group at least or some Lola, but too many mistakes in the process. I'm not in front of the computer now, but let me check my 911s and will report back.

@@overcrest3186For the real race one t70 v8 and some 212s arrived, just the t70 started but didn't finish. No t70 in AC, or 212 AFAIK. I've just found 280 and 290.
