In sura Nisa, it is clearly stated that nikah should be 💯 % unconditional. So, with any sort of condition or intention other than the nikah purely is haram. Secondly, then why so much criticism on shia's muttah marriages ? They facilitate both the partners in the same way as misyaar does. You do know woman's mostly are the ones who set conditions such as the husband not marrying a second wife, or him allowing her to work? Are you denying that this is permissible? Mut'aah 'marriage' is timed. For example, you can marry a women for one hour and usually doesnt require a wali. Its basically a sex contract. The two seem similar but are very different. Misyar is to marry but give up some rights because many people are not always well off to afford marriage with all the rights that come with it but the intention of the marriage is the same which is to find a life long partner. I personally lean on the opinion that its haram, most scholars like shaykh Al Albani said its completely haram. In Iraq some shia men ask women in front of their grown up sons if they can marry for a few hours, straight up dayouths and prostitution at that point.

The difference is that in misyar like he said, you have the intention of staying married and with mutah you have the intention to divorce after some set time and the second one (mutah) is thus hereby impermissible
