IPAC for healthcare workers is a learned flow of habits. 1. WRONG. Do not drain rinsed bedpans in same sink you or other patients (in shared rooms) are washing hands, brushing teeth or possibly rinsing eating utensils in. OK TO ADD WATER TO BEDPAN - BUT *DISPOSE OF THAT BEDPAN RINSED WATER IN TOILET*!!!! 2. WRONG @5:28 on -To avoid this (touching taps and towel dispenser lever with soiled ppe and she didn't wipe those contaminated surfaces) requires either getting towel already dispensed on side AND using some paper towel to turn on taps) @6:49 she has washed her hands and touched those SAME CONTAMINATED towel dispenser lever and taps- COUNTER PRODUCTIVE and DANGEROUS AS SHE GOES TO NEXT PATIENT

Hi so i come across different types of Assist with use Bedpan video but i thought i pin point on few things what i see was wrong because some of cna's here are from different states however i am located at the northern California in San Francisco so i notice you did use some sort of hygiene technique usually washing hands is better defense, Equip with the supplies like i said every state is different, Standard Bedpan is great one to use for test purposes, toilet tissue, wipes is great, Gloves, privacy blanket, disposable bed pads or chucks. Okay i've notice you applied the disposable pads or chucks to the resident however you didn't use Gloves because you gotta remember your making a video for cna's or nursing assistant to prevent infection control and touching with your bare hands is like a slap to our face just to let you know.

What was the point of you washing your hands and then touching any and every potentially contaminated surface in the locker table and room. Which you then approach your patient with❗️why don’t you wear sterile gloves, before approaching the patient’s Bed?
