Do we need to take the up Android nanodegree course to be an associate Android developer or just we need to clear the exam?

You don't necessarily need to complete the Nanodegree program to become an AAD. I did not enroll for the Nanodegree program as I already had experience developing Android apps, but if you are just getting into Android Development, I would recommend you to enroll into the Nanodegree program as that would really speed up the learning process.

Hi Aditya, You can re take the exam a second time and even a third time without needing to pay the fee again. You will only need to pay again if you are unsuccessful on your third attempt and wish to take it again. Nope. I don't think they do. A limited set of people from the first batch of the AAD alums have received the physical certificates.
