Great video and you share a lot of the thoughts I do when looking at Metaphor! Not going to lie this video is super well edited and I know the amount of work that goes into making a 24 minute long video like this. I mean i feel like you even script since I think you really dont ramble and make your points well. This video and channel is way under appreciated for the quality of work that you have made here. Also I might edit as I go along since I made this comment early on in the video. I had the same thought about companion homogeny since they can theoretically use all the jobs. I think recently though I realized that its pretty likely that not every character will be able to rank up all the jobs in a timely manor. We know based on footage we know that certain job upgrades require certain lower rank jobs (yes plural) to be certain levels and that job levels arent shared throughout the party. It would then stand to reason that each party member will likely specialize in maybe 2-3 jobs which also likely complement each other in the level up process. I think early game it will feel homogenous but once you kind of pick a path for each you will naturally find roles for the different members (or at least I hope that is how it will play out).

Yeah, I agree with you on a lot of these talking points. The phrasing of the "don't expect to see all (side-) dungeons in one playthrough" makes me hopeful, that we can actually see all of them if we plan out our activities in an optimal way. Similar to how you could finish all social links in one playthrough in the Persona games. Even if it is literally impossible to see all side dungeons, I wouldn't mind it that much as I also like making decision which actually change the gameplay. Regarding distinctive features of the party members I also wonder if they will have some kind of unique abilities to make them play differently. So far the only thing we know is that they have different stat growth, e.g. Strohl looks like a Jack of all Trades with a slight focus on strength, Hulkenberg excels in Endurance, and Heismay in Agility. That alone might be already enough. Otherwise I am wondering if it is actually feasible for every character to master every archetype in one playthrough? Maybe not and in that case you need to decide which lineages you want to prioritize for each party member to master. Speaking of bad/overused tropes I just hope the characters don't behave like teenagers and that especially the guys won't be horny creeps around the women. No romance is absolutely fine for me especially when that means the main characters won't get a harem. I wouldn't mind some romantic feelings between characters, though.

DW about bad tropes I am sure we won't see them, they are presenting this game with more serious plot and the main characters are focused and they are more mature then persona characters, so yeah I don't think we will see the bad tropes from persona tho tbh I don't mind the tropes from persona I love them 😆😆😅😅 but I understand the people who doesn't it can be a bit much sometimes.

For now my only mistery within the game i think people dont comment as much are two thigs the game puts in the backgrounds, the how do you take the concept of fantasy and the monsters name, why humans?, there must be a reason for the name beyond trying to sound original

I would never understand why americans are such puritans and can't take joke. You are right about fast travel though, I hope they don't let you go back to the capital during your trips but I don't know how they are going to do that without making the SL really hard to max.

Mark my words..... Metaphor is going to flop! or at very least will not sell very well.... And no i am not a Atlus Hater!! ......i have a lot atlus games and i love persona series and my favorite is P5R!! Just this year i payed and played for Persona 3 Reload,Shin megami V Vengeance and Unicorn Overlord.... Metaphor fells like a generic JRPG and to be honest the game art style or graphiclly dosent look very good....
